Dr. Harlene Debra Sandler

For my wisdom teeth removal, I made it very clear in our initial meeting that I wanted to be out cold with an anesthesiologist. She told me that was fine. When I got there, there was just her - no Anesthesiologist. I later found out that they do not do full anesthesia for these procedures due to the potential of choking - but I was never told this. Top it all off with the fact that when I got there for the day of the procedure, she told me that because of one of the medications I was on, they would not be able to use one of the pain killers they had been planning to use. I simply assumed that she meant they would be using a different one - but oh was I wrong. She strapped my arms to the chair in leather restraints (luckily for her), and As soon as she began I screamed, letting her know I could feel it. She kept saying, "Yup, you're feeling a little pressure". I tried to scream it was not pressure, but pain - but could only make loud guttural sounds while trying to break the… leather restraints, because she had no interest in stopping. I was in tears, and am a big guy and a black belt. To this day, I am amazed that I did not attack her when she undid the restraints - it was like being in a torture chamber. At my next dental appointment, I told my dentist about the experience, and he said - it's funny, because we got a similar complaint from another patient recently - and we are no longer referring her.

I won’t recommend this Dr. she is over price for everything. In spite also for everything she charged me a lot and still don’t give my refund since last year she owed me $1000 but never gave me my money back! Her staffs are very pleasant but as a boss to her staff she is not very grateful to them she even blamed them for something she do. I also waited for 2 hours just tmfor consultation.

I took my daughter for tooth extraction and one of them was on top of the nerves. They told us to do a 3D x-ray that costs $480 of my pocket and without it she can not extract. After the x-ray, she did not even know how to analyze the x-ray in computer and searching for the buttons to see what was going on. I decided to go to another doc in Elk ridge and he did the same x-ray for free w/o even doing the surgery. Eventually the same doc had my daughter's tooth extracted w/o any issues.

First time I've ever had a tooth extracted - turned out to be a painless simple experience. Dr. Sandler and her staff were terrific and very caring.
