Dr. Harold Alan Chertok, DO

He is very uncompassionate & staff was extremely rude & intolerant!! Very unfit to accommodate fellow human beings with their positions they hold!!! You all need to look elsewhere, maybe working in a prison?

Dr. Chertok was my doctor for a number of years and I valued my relationship with him and the care I received. I feel sad that I felt I had to take my health needs elsewhere because of the frustration I had with the way his office was run. The procedure for getting prescriptions refilled was done by voicemail and the recording stated that it would take up to 3 business days. There was never a call to tell me that it was done, and I had one that I called in three times before getting it. It was an important med that I need to take daily and I went 2 weeks while trying to get this ironed out. Another time I din't receive my lab reports for several weeks. Then I got a phone call to come in for a blood draw. I asked why and was told that my results had shown a problem with my kidneys and it needed to be checked. I have never had problems even close to happening with my kidneys and I never did see the errant report. This was not true. It was the final straw I had in dealing with the office.… I am giving 5 stars because this review is rating the doctor, not the staff; and Dr, Chertok is awesome. I am very sad...

Heads up, if you miss 3 appts. In your lifetime, Dr. Chertok will not see you anymore . I like him and feel he is a good preventive doctor but, I cannot be seen anymore. Oh well, I will move on to bigger and better. Office staff needs improvement....much.

I would hope Dr. Chertok reads some of his reviews. He is a very good doctor and has a solid reputation. The problem is his staff, Melissa to be exact. I am not the only one who thinks she is incredible rude and outright arrogant. After talking to other patients of his I get the same feedback. She may run a tight ship, but she has caused some of his patients to seek medical treatment elsewhere.

Well read. Excellent communicator. Teaches. Integrates all current information into his treatment while incorporating medical practices that are tried and true. Does not let pharmacy reps into his office. Gets med updates on his phone every week.

Dr. Chertok is the best doctor in town. He spends time with you, working with you toward wellness, using all his experience and intelligence and sometimes looking up new info on his computer. He is AWESOME. All of the staff in the back are terrific--out front is a different story. I have gone to Dr. C. for 12 years and have considered changing doctors because I so dread dealing with those awful people, especially Melissa. A shame.

Patient Care Manager is terrible, no class, hasty, not friendly, not courteous, not cooperative. Dr. Chertock is among the best doctors I have ever seen. However, My wife and I no longer see him because of very bad experiences with Melissa, the Patient Care Manager.

Dr. Chertok is a great doctor. He is our family doctor and we are very happy with him. If possible, try your best to avoid Lisa the girl out front. Very poor attitude. Unhelpful and down right arrogant. It's a shame because of the great practices that Dr. Chertok has. I do not know why she is still there.
