Unwilling to manage Rx for ADD patient transferring from another practice. Crass bedside manner. Billed for longer than time spent. Wait was over 2.5 hours. At 11:15 he was still with his first appt. and had 3 more before mine. STAY AWAY

My son was sent for a neurology and learning evaluation. His primary care doctor along with his behavioral assistant and licensed clinican, school, and family wanted him evaluated after numerous unstable results from play therapy and parent child interaction therapy. My child has behavioral and emotional problems and sadly Dr. Hardison failed to evaluate and provide insight to my child's needs. After I was asked questions by two residents, we waited in a room for 45 minutes. During that period my child cried, screamed, rolled over the floor and couldn't wait to leave. The doctor came in and he was pleasant, but he rattled on about history, and claimed by son looked like a baseball player on the Philies. My son completely failed eye contact and I said he doesn't make eye contact then he says "Oh he will". My son has had issues with right and left hand and uses both at time which often frustrates and confuses him in a learning environment. The doctor could not access if he was right or… left handed. When I tried to express my concern he just talked over me and said your doing an awesome job. I will put he has adjustment issues. I came for an ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder and I received neither. He was only in the room for no more 5 minutes. This was a waste of our time and if you want help for your child don't come here! Furthermore, not for Autism and ADHD because his response was "I'm only a neurologist."

We were told to go to saint Christopher's in Philly, family recommendation. We got an appointment fairly close considering it was for a specialist. We did not have a long wait as we were the first appointment of the day. The staff was great. Doctor Hardison came in the room with a huge smile and big personality. He was more interested in talking about nonsense and telling stories of Philadelphia rather than focusing on our visit. His stories were interesting, but I wasn't there for a history lesson. He rambled on and on and barely looked at the paperwork I had brought in. The only interaction he had with my daughter, the patient, was to ask her what nick name she would like to give him and if she was right it left handed. That was it. He did not evaluate her. He barely asked me any questions. He laughed hysterically at the notes the teachers and evaluator's at my child's school had written up. He continuously asked if I had questions but he never listened to my questions, would… cut me off then start talking about something else. He left me very confused. He said he no longer had any reason to see my child, no follow up. He wanted a paper filled out by me and my child's teacher and to mail it to him. He said he would put a broad diagnosis on her depending on the mood he was in when he got the papers back. He seems like an interesting person to talk to, but not a great doctor for my child. He may be great for kids with autism, or some other neurological issue, but for ADHD I was left confused and a bit upset. There is more that I'd rather not get in to. We will be seeing another neurologist soon. I know there are other neurologist on staff. Saint Christopher's us a great hospital so if you're looking to book a Neuro appointment there I would request to be seen by a different doctor on staff. Also wanted to say that he told us he's very hard to get a hold of. You can't call him and he only responds via email, which he rarely checks. He personally told us that.
