Very underwhelmed with the experience with Dr. Kitaoka. He was an hour late. He was very short with me when I was explaining what was going on and what I had tried. Abruptly left the appt with very little direction on what to expect and what the next steps were. Would not go back to see him.

Very bad & rude doctor. No time with me at all. Mix up all the information given to him. Did not want to listen to me. Rude ! No treatment plan & really no time with me at all. I am an old man & I have never ever seen anything like this doctor. I will never return to Mayo Clinic Foot & ankle department. I went to my regular M.D. & got help & treatment I need after visiting this Mayo Clinic rudest man. STAY AWAY from this M.D.

This is not a good doctor Very, Very ,Very bad one! Do not want to listen to you at all & do not want to spent time with you. He does not care a bit about patients & DO NOT WANT TO LISTEN to you. Waist of time & money. This is not real MAYO CLINIC doctor, real shame. I did not get nothing out of this visit, but a bill. No treatment plan, no information, no time with me, just Hi & Buy. Avoid this doctor,. I wish I did. The worst M.D. I have ever seen in my life & I am no spring chicken. I am very upset over this visit. Too bad!! Hope you will stay away form this M.D.

Dr. Kitaoka operated on my ankle in 1998 (ankle fusion). It was a difficult long process but I could walk again without pain. He was very professional and kind. I’m having my second fusion this year (2019) and feel very confident he will do an excellent job. Thank you Dr. Kitaoka for your great service to our community.

This Dr was very rude. Like another review I read he also seemed annoyed to be bothered with me. His diagnosis? He didn't know "what my problem was" Save your money and time! DON'T SEE HIM!!!

Don't let all the bad reviews scare you. Dr. Kitaoka is the most professional and wonderful doctor I have met. He save my foot back in 1994. To this day due to his expertise I'm walking. Thank you Dr. K.

I have never been so rudely treated by a doctor as I was by Harold B. Kitaoka, M.D.. He seemed to be annoyed that I was taking his time and wasn't even civil. I will never return to the podiatry department at Mayo. The man who makes my orthotics at the shoe store was far more helpful

I was shocked at Dr. Kitaoka's cold manner. He actually partially turned his back to me during the appointment. He only did a cursory exam. He was rude and condescending. I'm surprised Mayo keeps this bad-attitude physician.
