I was referred to Dr. Schutte by my regular orthopedic surgeon because my metal hip was deteriorating. The entire experience, beginning to end, was first class. Dr. Schutte's staff is knowledgeable, personable, eager to assist in every way. My surgery couldn't have gone more smoothly and my follow up care has been superb. Dr. Schutte is not only a good doctor, he is pleasant to know, looks you in the eye, explains whatever you need explains and ensures you understand his answers. His practice is one of the top two I've ever been treated by. I would not hesitate to have him replace any other joint in my body.

I had total knees 3 years apart and Dr. Schutte did a spectacular job, very little pain after surgery or in Phusical Therapy, walking with a cane in 6 days postop, 85 degrees range of motion 9 days postoperative ( physiotherapists amazed by range and lack of pain). Pain never worse than 2 on a 10 scale, meaning Igot along just fine with Tylenol, not opioids! Dr. Schutte treats his patients as people, not troublesome disease states. The hospital where his Institute practices, is superb, new, clean, quiet, for 13 years they remin the best ratedin an 82 hospital chain, rated by patients and medical outcomes criteria. Dr. del Schutteate East Cooper Medical Center is definitely the way to go.

When I met Dr. Schutte in 2001, I was walking on a failed hip implant. It was loose and and each time I stood up, it was like setting a broken bone. The surgical options were grim. None gave me the least hope of an active life. "What about an impaction allograft," Dr. Schutte said—An Exeter stem in a cement and donor bone mixture, like concrete. And it promised more bone, not less. Growth. Hope. Sixteen years later. Golf. Tennis. Hard work. Thank you, Sir. You rock.
