Dr. Harold A Tabaie, MD

Dr. Tabaie treated me in a hospital for Deep Vein Thrombosis and May-Thurner Syndrome in my left leg in 2010. While a patient under him, Dr. Tabaie assured me he was able to do my stenting surgery I needed, and that he was in contact with Stanford throughout my treatment. Since 2010, I have had 10+ surgeries in the same leg for the same issues. The stenting surgery performed by Dr. Tabaie failed and my leg has continued to clot. Five years later while being treated at Stanford for the failure of Dr. Tabaie's surgery, I was notified by Stanford Dr. Tabaie only called once. During this call, Tabaie was urged to transfer me to Stanford for appropriate care. Tabaie did not share this information with me and performed the surgery on his own. Tabaie performed the surgery in the wrong vein. He stented me incorrectly and has caused nerve damage, scar tissue, and has damaged my veins beyond repair. Because of this, I have had to be re-stented numerous times (including stenting to support… his incorrect stenting) and will forever be dealing with the damage he has done to my body. I am now physically handicapped because of his negligence. If Tabaie would have listened and transferred me to Stanford, I might not be in my current state. If he would have stented the correct vein, I might not have reclotted nor would I have the nerve, vein, and physical damage I will always carry. Because of California law, I cannot pursue anything legally due to the time frame of discovery. Maybe warning others so they will not also suffer will be enough.
