Dr. Harriet Janice Wilburne, MD

I began seeing Dr. Wilburne in 1982 as a young adolescent for depression resulting from childhood abuse/trauma. She is still my psychiatrist thirty seven years later. Due to hospitalizations, I have seen many psychiatrists and physicians through the years. She is by far the best physician I have ever known. She is kind, honest, moral and compassionate. She is a rare doctor who truly and deeply cares for her patients. She extends herself far beyond what is required. My reason for continuing therapy is that I became severely physically ill as a young adult. She has helped me in so many ways. If it weren't for my chronic diseases, I wouldn't have the need to see her. She continues to help me cope with being so ill. I believe without her I would not be alive today. She is a pleasure and a treasure.
