Dr. Tuttle is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who is also fellowship trained in hand and microvascular surgery.
Prior to joining the Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in 2005, he graduated from both college and medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then completed his internship and residency at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont.
He was then selected for a hand and microvascular surgery fellowship in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Tuttle has written articles on hand surgery topics published in peer reviewed medical journals, including the Journal of Hand Surgery as well as Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. He has served as the hand surgery consultant to the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes since 2006.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking, fishing, and spending time with his wife and three children.
Having revisited plaguing thumb issues multiple times over the past three months, each time, Dr. Tuttle and I come up with a new plan of attack. You can always tell he’s listening, and analyzing what you tell him. I love the fact that he allows you to get involved in your own treatment plan, making sure your suggestions are heard and can possibly help. With his knowledge and guidance, I feel my trust in his knowledge and abilities can never be misplaced! Five stars, as always.
