Dr. Harry Ho Yeon Ahn, MD

Dr Ahn was working in the ER at Encino Hospital last night. His bedside manner was horrible. He failed to provide adequate care to my family member. Did no real physical exam and didn’t even order that he be placed on a monitor when he presented by ambulance with a fall and BP of 200/110 and a heart rate in the 130s. You should not have to threaten a doctor with report to Medical Board to get the care a patient needs. We were there over 4 hours before he finally placed him on a monitor and did any lab work or chest x-ray. He did do ct for possible head trauma from the fall but was about to discharge when I asked what he was doing about the BP. He told me nothing and that he would have to start over if we wanted it checked out. Other patients (a former employee) told me he was rude and an awful doctor. Employees were whispering about him. All in all he created a situation of mistrust and lack of care.

I was admitted to Verdugo Hills ER tonight. The ER doctor that admitted me was prompt, took the time to ask about my background, symptoms, etc to figure out what was going on with me. He gave me pain medication and the pain was under control. I have a history of getting kidney infections, and kidney stones, which are extremely painful. I’m also a Colin cancer survivor. So it was a it was a big relief when the pain was managed correctly by the first doctor in the ER. After bloodwork they diagnosed me with a kidney infection and I would have to be admitted overnight. This is when things took a turn for the worse. The doctor that took over from there once I moved upstairs, Dr. Harry Ahn, without even talking to me or consulting me, decided to cut my pain management off. Once I got upstairs I was in tremendous pain. I asked for pain medicine, and the nurse said that Dr, Ahn had cut off my pain medication. I explained how much I was suffering and to call Dr. Ahn to tell him. Dr. Ahn’s… solution? I discharge myself AMA and go elsewhere. At 5:00am I ended up having to drive to Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, to get the proper care I needed Steer clear of Verdugo Hills Hospital. If you ever are unfortunate enough to have Dr. Harry Anh assigned to you, be prepared for the worse experience of your life. I’ve never been in as much pain I was in at this hospital. I wasted my entire night and was told to leave to go somewhere else to get proper care and my pain under control. I wish I I would of gone straight to Pasadena in the first place, and saved myself the nightmare I encountered under the care of Dr. Harry Anh. What an evil evil man

First off this hospital Verdugo hills hospital, (not sure why they put USC in front of it) is the most horrible hospital ever. First time here I didn’t get fed for 12 hour. Second time I got a supposed nurse named Latoya who needs to go back to comton where she can treat her people like that. Then Dr Ahn... where do I begin. I came in for severe asthma, So got admitted 3 days ago. I have asthma, MS and PTSD. It’s 6:10am. And after a whole bunch of Meds. (Which are far under that my pain management and psychologist gives me I’m in so much pain and tired. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL. Keep away from Dr Ahn if possible.
