Dr. Harry A Glassman, MD

I feel the need to write this even though my surgery was 20 years ago. I went to see Dr. Glassman after receiving liposuction in the abdomen area from another prominent BH surgeon who didn't take out as much fat as I wanted. I decided I wanted a tummy so I could achieve the flat tummy I wanted. I was very clear with Dr. Glassman that I wanted a tummy tuck, especially based on my previous experience with liposuction. However, Dr. Glassman was convinced that if he did liposuction it would turn out perfect. He insisted this was the way to go, so I trusted him. Following the procedure everything looked it. I had no idea what was to come. Over a period of time I got ripples all down my stomach. At first I didn't notice it, but then when I had a bathing suit on my stomach looked like I had post pregnancy stretch marks and I'd never given birth! I was young and didn't think he would do anything since a period of time passed so I did nothing which I now regret. Fast forward to 10 years… later and I'm going to consultations for a breast reduction. Several doctors pointed out the ripples and asked what happened. I told them I had lipo, but never mentioned Dr. Glassman's name. When they asked who did it I told them. All three doctors called associates over to show them my stomach and referred to it as the "Glassman ripple". I was mortified because obviously this was well know amongst his colleagues as the doctors explained to me when I asked. They said they had "fixed" many of his former clients. I was embarrassed because I thought I did good research, and because I didn't stick to my guns about the tummy tuck. I'm sharing this because this is my experience and I would want to have this information about a doctor I was researching.

Dr. Glassman has been my cosmetic surgeon for many years. I would never go to anyone else. He did my first surgery, a rhinoplasty, when I was a freshman in college. To this day, I am still thankful for the beautiful work he did. I have been complimented on my nose many times but never asked if it was “done”. Recently, now that my children are a little older, I decided to have my breasts lifted and augmented. Again, beautiful and natural results. I’m absolutely thrilled. The whole process was much easier than I expected and the hardest part of the recovery was not being able to work out. I highly recommend Dr. Glassman and his wonderful staff to anyone considering cosmetic surgery.

I recently went in to see Dr. Glassman for a consultation for breast augmentation. I was so impressed Dr. Glassman and his staff. He didn't make me feel rushed, he answered all of my questions and has a very kind, warm demeanor.

If you are thinking of having surgery with Dr Glassman please please don't. His bedside manner is amazing but he is too old to be operating anymore. Im sure Glassman was great a long time ago, but sadly now he is not a good surgeon anymore. I wish I would have gone with my gut but his bedside manner is very charming and he acts very confident in his work. He completely ruined the last year and a half of my life and has no remorse which is so disheartening because he seems to be a great guy. I have met with 6 other surgeons to correct his mistake and they have all said the same thing when looking at my results "he's too old to be practicing anymore" I had never had plastic surgery before but I truly learned my lesson. There is a reason he doesn't provide pictures and it isn't for "confidentially". I have talked to may people in the hollywood community and they also say the same thing. He was good 20 years ago:( I should have been honest with myself and asked around before doing this… surgery. I am writing this to help others into not making the same mistake. I remember asking him about a few bad reviews I had read before the surgery and he told me they were from "crazy over obsessed patients." Why I didn't know then is my own fault. Both Dee and Dr Glassman have told me to go to another surgeon to fix what was done but I have already paid almost 12000 and the scars and damage have been done. Please be smart there are so many great surgeons especially in Los Angeles. Ask around and you will find them

I came to Dr. Glassman with a very unusual problem a few years back, Dr. removed 2800 cc's of toxic fluid from my abdomen, he made me feel normal again. I feel he did an amazing job

I had a breast reduction in 1984. I know this was a long time ago, but my experience was excellent. He gave me a very specified vitamin regime to follow pre-op, which I did. I believe he was "cutting edge" for his time. No complications, great results, still at 51 yrs my breast are great. All doctors who have seen me have stated "who did your surgery", "really great job". Main suggestion from me is don't gain weight as breast size will increase. I don't believe he was board certified at the time.

Dr. Glassman is the absolute best. He takes a very natural approach to his work. I'm very happy with my results.

Very natural looking breasts, I went from a size 34 (small) A to 34 C. Under the breast incisions that did not scar at all. He is excellent at scar minimizing, as he does alot of facial work procedures and I think is best known for face lifts. However, my breasts are not close to each other and don't have cleavage that I hear other doctors can obtain. Breasts felt firm from the surgery and thereafter. I had my breast aug 10 years ago by him, and breasts still are fine, but are wrinkling and firm, and I plan to re-do them this summer and am considering Dr. Glassman among others.
