Dr. Harry Lee Mcdaris, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr McDaris for years. Office staff is patient, professional and friendly. Nurses are caring and helpful. Office is comfortable and clean. Environment is set up for migraine patients. Low lighting! Dr McDaris is caring and well informed about new medications and treatments. He has an excellent bedside manner. I always feel like I can talk to him and he actually listens. He takes time with his patients. I don’t even care if I do have to wait a few minutes because I know he is taking time to communicate with his other patients. However, I’ve never had too long of a wait. I recommend him to everyone I know suffering with migraines.

From the moment that you walk in... this office offers an environment that makes me feel like they are sympathetic to my needs. the office is dimly lit, and its comfortable and quiet. Dr. McDaris has been very helpful in getting me back on track to a functioning lifestyle.

I've been a patient of Dr, McDaris for 9 months now. I was in to see him last week and asked him to up my medication- he decided not to and to see how things went. I got a Toradol shot that day and HE TOLD ME that I could call and get another shot if my migraines got bad. I called today at 9am to the Nurse voicemail line. I got a call back 30 minutes later but was told they had a full schedule today and suggested that I take Motrin along with the Maxalt (that had already failed me) to get relief. I called back an hour and half later because I still had no relief. I ended up having to leave work early due to the migraine. By the time the nurse finally called back (more than 2 hours later) I was told they could "work me in" but couldn't promise a time to see me. I'm sorry but when a patient is in crisis I shouldn't have to wait to see the doctor to get medication. I should be able to come in and get a shot to get the help I need!! Im going to find another neurologist who really… cares..

Dr. McDaris is the 2nd migraine doctor I have been too, and I only went with him because my mom has gone to him for years and adores him. My only complaints would be the receptionist; she is a bit snippy and its annoying. And the wait; usually wait at least 30 minutes in the waiting room and about an hour in the exam room. TIP: get an appointment right after lunch. My last appointment was for 1:15 and I was called back within 5 minutes, and was only in the exam room for about 20 minutes. Plus, everyone's happier after they eat. (; Except the receptionist.. He is a nice doctor, overall. At first, he wanted to automatically just put me on Topamax because that is what my mom is on..which makes sense. And when it produced negative side effects, he immediately changed me to something else no questions asks. He also worked with my Restless Leg Syndrome for a few months, but then referred me to a sleep doctor because he felt that he wasn't knowledgeable enough about RLS to treat it - I… believe that takes a real doctor to realize your patient's health is more important than their copay. He is nice and participates in small talk, asks me about school, but I feel that is only because he knows my mom. His nurses though! SO NICE! Paige is so precious and caring! I work at CVS and as often as I have heard her call in prescriptions, I have never heard her sound anything less than cheerful. Also, working at CVS I get an idea about how quickly doctors respond to refill requests that we send for patients and Dr. McDaris's nurse's are usually on top of them and get back to us fairly quickly. Overall, I recommend.

Every appointment I have I have to wait at least an hour before being called to the back, then I have at least another half hour to hour wait before the doctor comes in. Very unacceptable. He has not helped my condition one bit. I have occipital neuralgia, but he keeps insisting on treating me for migraines. Yes, when the occipital neuralgia is flared up real bad it can and sometimes does trigger a migraine, but not all the time. You need to treat the problem, not the symptoms. You also do NOT tell your patients, you have a chronic condition so you need to learn to live with it. No, I don't. I need a doctor who will treat the problem, therefore I will be seeking a new doctor.

Every appointment I have had I have waited an hour to an hour and a half before seeing the doctor. I was told by the receptionist that it's because the doctor is always late getting to the office. That's completely unacceptable! They couldn't guarantee me that I would have less than an hour wait for my upcoming appointment scheduled at 9:30 in the morning. I liked Dr. McDaris alright, but I still have migraines and can't justify spending hours upon hours waiting to be seen. I will be seeing a different doctor.

Dr. McDaris is a wonderful doctor, he has helped me with my Migraines, I had a Hysterectomy 2001 and started having severe headache and my GP sent me to Dr. McDaris. I was diagnosis with Migraines. He is very educated in his feild of medicine and he has a great bedside manner, spend time with you and follows up after the visit. He and his staff are very courteous and they are very prompt with your appointments and when you need them they are there for you.

Dr Mcdaris is a caring concerned Dr who does a wonderfulj job. He has cured my migraines
