Wouldn’t recommend this guy to anyone

This doctor saw me in the ER in 2016 and sent me home with an calculus (stone) in my ureter. Both him and the APRN Geraldine Flaherty in the ER, missed the diagnosis on 2 ultrasounds and sent me home to go into Septic Shock from an untreated infection in the ER that they ignored. I went into a coma and had a Temp of 104 and was admitted for emergency surgery 2 days later. By missing that diagnosis which was clearly seen on both Ultrasounds I required emergency surgery complicated by delirium from Septic shock and thrombocytopenia. I I was sent home with no followup care from any specialists and I had 13 discharge diagnoses so that was a serious oversight to not have at least one or two referrals. I was still confused at the time of discharge and again was sent home as I was from the ER with no one to check on my status. Also the information in the chart for both visits, the ER and the 6 day admission, had the wrong doctor listed as my PCP, so I believe all my records with my… discharge information were sent to a DR Winokur who had not been my doctor for several years. My current PCP did not know about either admission and when I finally saw her weeks later, she was horrified at what happened to me. Several other doctors I have seen since also acknowledged the negligence of the ER and the main hospital for not referring me to a Nephrologist for Acute Kidney Injury and Renal failure (from the untreated obstruction) as I was admitted with high levels of BUN/CR which signified the damage that was done when they sent me home from the ER, rather than admit me for surgery that night. I had kidney damage from the delay in surgery of 2 days from the misdiagnosis by Moscovitz and Flaherty. What an easy diagnosis to make and a very serious one to miss as I have now lost function in that kidney. Yale is saying I didn't even have an infection yet I ended up in Septic Shock and anyone that has studied medicine knows that Septic shock is always from an untreated infection. Yale needs to get refresher courses in Urology or not see pts in the ER with urological conditions because they are not well trained to diagnosis and treat a ureteral obstruction and to diagnosis a kidney stone instead, a huge difference in severity and treatment protocols.

Unprofessional. Knowledge is questionable. Bad bedside manner. This man should not be an ER doctor.
