Dr. Harry P Sukumaran, MD

Dr. Sukamaran and his office staff have treated me and my condition with negligence and harm. Their communication skills are unprofessional and poor; the only way to contact them is via text messages which they hardly respond to. Dr. Sukamaran even failed to call me for our scheduled telehealth follow-up appointment, nor did he cancel or apologize. I would not trust this medical practice with your health or well-being. Dr. Sukamaran left me with little support after my procedure.

2 low back pain injections with Dr. Sukumaran was scheduled. At the time of the appointment Dr. Sukumaran informed me that since I had taken Xarelto the day before that he would not do the procedure. In the office visit preceding this procedure he had said that would not be a problem, but was adamant at the time of the procedure that he would not do the procedure. I was visibly upset and the nurses were sympathetic and rescheduled me for the following Monday when I would have been off Xarelto. However, Dr. Sukumaran said he was not comfortable going forward and that if I wanted to continue, I would need to make another office appointment to have him review my case again. He had the nurses cancel the injection appointment. I considered this extremely unprofessional and found a different doctor.

Dr. Sukumaran suddenly left Wayne State Physicians group. They promised they would get me in with a new doc but then said they aren't taking Sukumarans patients. He was literally the only doc that would listen to my needs. The injections he gave me helped so much. I have been without his services for over a year and am literally in so much pain. Come back doc. I'm sure I'm not the only patient that needs you back.

Left without notice from the troy pain clinic. Really miss and need his services. His pain treatments were the only treatments I received that brought my pain to a tolerable level. Still looking for him. New pain doctor wants to do a hip replacement. Don't treat L4 L4 nerve pain

Dr. Sukumaran is my father's doctor. My father has 2 stage 4 cancers and was in incredible pain before Dr. Sukumaran became his doctor. Unfortunately my dad hasn't been given much time but thanks to Dr. Sukumaran he has been given back a great deal of quality. Our family can't thank him enough for all he has done for our father and us. He is an amazing doctor and has gone WAY beyond the call of duty for my family.

He was told about Dr. Sukumaran by his oncologist (Dr. Smith, also a fantastic U of M doctor). It has been 5 months since he has been in pain. He now has a pain pump and thanks to Dr. Sukumaran's care he isn't suffering daily. I can't say enough about him. I feel he has a great bedside manner, is very patient, personable and really cares. I don't think my dad would still be fighting his cancer if it weren't for these wonderful doctors!
