He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at the UT Health Science Center at Houston followed by his Gastroenterology fellowship at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Patel provides comprehensive and compassionate care to patients in all areas of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with special interests in colon cancer screening, GERD (acid reflux), inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative colitis; Crohns disease), and various liver diseases {Hepatitis C; Fatty liver disease). Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two Goldendoodles, traveling, physical fitness, sports, and watching movies/TV shows.
