Dr. Harvette Carmelle Jenkins, MD

I enjoyed my visit even though the hours are not flexible. I really enjoyed visit but I wish they could have more hours. I will recommend this practice to my family and friends. Thank you staff.

The Dr. spent less than 2 minutes with me after waiting for 1.5 hours. She did not apologize for being so late nor did she offer to refund a portion of the office visit. She was not particularly polite or caring. She left the room right after looking at the chart and upon seeing that I didn't have a mask on. The nurse brought one in then another 5 minutes wait until the Dr. returned. She diagnosed "allergies" without looking in my throat, checking my ears or nose or asking me any health history questions. At the bare minimum that should have been done instead the Dr left the room and the nurse came to get me to say I was done and the Dr was writing me some prescriptions (Claritin). Overcharged and under treated would be how I rate this visit. The office staff often takes a longer time than necessary to get my prescription refills called in and more than once I've had to wait over 7 days to get the results of tests. I am looking for a new doctor because I feel that health concerns… are being overlooked in this doctor's haste to get out of the examination room as fast as she can.

Dr. Jenkins is a very professional physician. I've never encountered a problem with her. She is always very pleasant. she cares about what I think and need. She diagnoses problems and tests all avenues of treatment. On my very first appointment she was kind courteous and cautious (in a good way). She's not prone to just hand out any drug. She takes time to get to know you.

I was alarmed when this doctor had trouble spelling a few words when recording notes... words that I can spell and I only have an associate degree vs her doctorate. My first and last names were also misspelled on my bill, which is probably an office worker's fault, not Dr. Jenkins. This concerns me because I feel that better attention should be given to my medical record. (If my name is misspelled when copying from clearly, printed handwriting and insurance cards, what else is being mixed up or left out?) And the amount owed on my bill was for more than what I was told after calling about the bill. Glad I did not just write a check and mail it without calling first. Mistakes happen, but this was my first visit and I'm not feeling too confident about this place. I will say that her staff is friendly and Dr. Jenkins seems pretty "down to earth".

I think Dr Jenkins is one of the kindest, most competent physician I have come across in a long time. I highly respect her clinical acumen. She cares deeply about her patients, and takes great care of them as well. I strongly recommend her as a primary care physician.

This was the worst experience I ever had in my life with a doctor. I find it hard to believe a woman like this is allowed to practice medicine. Very poor office to include lack of educated staff, clean environment and quality of care.
