Dr. Harvey Richard Fritz, DO

Harvey Fritz, D.O., joined PeaceHealth Medical Group's Urgent Care clinic in 2008. He is a board-certified emergency medicine specialist with residency training in internal medicine. Prior to joining PeaceHealth, he practiced medicine in Eastern Washington for 19 years, most recently as head emergency physician at two hospitals. He also served as medical program director and chief radio medical control for Grant County, where he wrote ambulance protocols and instructed ambulance personnel in emergency services. He trained for a year in Lansing, Mich., and assisted the Michigan State University football teamÂ’s orthopedic clinic; he has also served as a Golden Gloves ringside physician in Kansas City. He completed his internal medicine training at Kettering Hospital, a cardiac and neurological surgical hospital in Ohio, where he programmed a computerized system to prevent drug interactions, increasing patient safety. At PeaceHealthÂ’s Urgent Care Clinic, he continues to develop his …interests in rural trauma care, health education and accident prevention. He is married to a neurological intensive care nurse, and they have two children, both of whom are pursuing nursing degrees. His own interests include hiking, camping, computer imaging and sound processing as well as playing his cello and viola with his family quartet.
