Dr. Harvey Greenberg, MD

Dr. Greenberg treated me for Stage 4 oropharyngeal cancer 3 years ago and just finished treating my wife for breast cancer. He is the most personable physician I have ever met and seems more like a friend. He is "The Best".

Dr. Greenberg and his staff were a model for any doctor or employees in the field of radiation oncology. They made me feel like the most important person on earthearth ;EVERYTIME I was in treatment. Dr. Greenberg was there for me when my other oncologist was not, and more than once. I have a childhood friend that was diagnosed with breast cancer. I emphatically encouraged her to see Dr. Harvey M Greenberg. He is not only kind, but very, very good at medical profession. I had a horrible experience with my other cancer doctor, but there is not one negative thing I can say about Dr. Greenberg or his staff. He is a true physician at heart.

Every staff member in the office shows so much caring and genuine compassion.

Before I ever became a patient of Dr. Greenberg's he spent about two hours with me explaining the diagnosis, the risk, the end results, etc. He also gave me his cell phone number and told me to call or text him any time I had a question. After becoming his patient he was very attentive and concerned about my treatment and recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Greenberg.

The staff and Dr. Greenburg were very supportive and caring. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Greenberg was my Doctor in 1993 and in 2,000 both times he was very approachable, informed, thoughtful and made me feel like he really cared. I reccomend him highly.

The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. Debbie has a splendid personality and is AWESOME. She is great with her people skills.

My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 head and neck cancer at the age of 45. We have 3 sons, 17, 12, & 6. At the time, I was a full time paramedic student with no income. Nobody expects cancer. We were terrified, as I imagine most people in similar situations are. We went from our GP prescribing antibiotics for a probable sinus infection to having 4 oncology and surgical specialists and a host of biopsy & advanced imaging appointments in a grand total of about 5 days. After 8 weeks of chemo and radiation and 6 weeks of waiting we have reached the follow up PET scan date and we are, again, (still?) nervous, scared & hopeful. This journey has been horrible. Facing your mortality, contemplating being a surviving spouse, explaining all the horror to 3 kids covering a broad range of ages, calming the parents, informing the friends... cancer is the worst full time job any of us have ever had. And I DO mean *FULL*TIME*. I even dream about it. Good dreams where Dr. Greenberg, our… radiation oncologist, shows us films with a huge smile on his face. Horrible dreams where even Dr. Greenberg cries. Other than my immediate family, the only constant through this whole horrible ride has been Dr. Greenberg. Hes tall & thin. Soft spoken. Contemplative. He listens. He encourages. He jokes. He advises. If you were to imagine the absolute perfect doctor, you would be imagining Dr. Harvey Greenberg. Perhaps in Brad Pitt or Selma Hyaks body, but the rest would be all Dr. G. While patients are waiting in the lobby of his large, busy office, he regularly ventures out into the waiting room. He greets spouses & children. He answers all the questions nobody thought was important enough to call in to ask. He compliments new hair styles and asks after companions who are absent. In other words, he behaves as if he actually cares about the people he treats. Not only does he care for them medically, he cares for them as human beings whose entire family is being swallowed up by this beast called cancer. He appreciates that everyone in that room is along for the ride. He exhibits compassion and empathy that can not be manufactured. He spends whatever time is required to explain things, cover things, discuss things. He has never once hurried into the exam room with the all too common air of the frantic over worked physician and we have never once felt hurried out. From the moment we encountered him we felt safe & cared for. Can he fix everything? Of course not, but he is a man who has made this situation bearable. He has given us hope & support that we would never have expected from a physician and have also only gotten from a handful of good friends. He gives his patients his cell phone number because he knows things dont always happen conveniently during office hours. I really dont think there are enough words to express how deeply grateful I am to this man. A person doing what they were meant to do is a beautiful thing to see and an amazing thing to be a part of, even if cancer was what crossed your paths. I wish there was a gift or trophy I could give. If I had money Id add a wing to his hospital. Unfortunately the best I can do right now are words, so, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you, Dr G. You have unknowingly sustained my sanity & perhaps saved the life of a certain nurse who will remain nameless. Of course I do not mean anyone in your office and definitely not George, who is the most fantastic nurse as I have ever encountered. You two make a great team. My gratitude is immeasurable.
