Dr. Harvey Stuart Mishner, MD

Dr. Mishner is barely engaged in your input, dismisses your concerns and provides little to no training, to his ever revolving door of staff members. This alone should prompt you to keep searching for a new Dr. Most recently, his staff was contacted by me about a prescription renewal. My pharmacy called to say I needed to call my Dr. before they could renew a thyroid prescription which I have been on for decades. Of course, I did so immediately. His staff member took my info. and lead me to believe my prescription would be renewed. It was my pharmacy (Walmart- believe it or not) that was far more courteous, did the follow thru. While my physician and his staff never once told me that they would refuse to refill my prescription until I was seen by the Dr. I learned this on a phone call to the office from Walmart! Not by them reaching out to me after I contacted them about the renewal. When I offered to make an appt. at that moment..could you please renew my thyroid medication?… No....not until "we see you" (and can bill me for doing such a favor). This is thryroid medication needed by a 63 year old woman!!!!!!! It's time for Dr. Mishner to retire....and time for his staff to be trained in customer service basics.

rude, not caring and worst... he doesn't keep up with current medicines, how they may impact you. Twice he prescribe me prescriptions that made my health issues worst.

Most of the time spent listening to him (he seldom actually listens to the patient) is trying to recover from a sales pitch for his latest "program" or project...such as his weight loss program. He missed some pretty easy diagnoses as well and does not respond well when asked searching questions. He has a courteous and friendly staff.

For 2 years I was in extreme pain. Would show up at his office unable to open and close my hands, with one knee swollen to twice the size of the other and sometimes barely able t walk. He ignored my symptoms and instead tried to sell me vitamins and was otherwise disinterested. Switched doctors and new doctor immediately ordered a cheap, simple blood test that showed I had severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. Should have sued the quack.

We recently moved to the area. I went to Dr. Mishner a couple of times. He is more of a used car salesman then a doctor. He tried to get me to use the physical therapist in his office. her secretary told me they accept my insurance. I had no reason to doubt it since he took my insurance. After a visit with the PT, they called me and said that there was an error and I'm responsible for payment. I had several arguments with the very nasty & rude physical therapist secretary and after a few months it was dropped. Dr. Mishner kept pushing a nutrition testing on me and I was made to feel so uncomfortable for saying no. He said that after my bone density I had no choice. I am so glad to be away from him and that office. He's so creepy!

Worked in nursing 30 yr & this is the most condescending & rude man I have ever been to. Treated me like I was 12yr. Did not listen to what I was saying. Sounded more like used car salesman for his gym & dietician. I left crying, & that's saying something, because he was so rude!!! I would NEVER refer any one to him! No wonder his waiting room is always empty.If that's how he treats his patients I feel sorry for his staff.

Dr. Mishner and his staff took me in immediately, made me feel secure, and quickly worked to correct an ill that I never believed would happen to me. A great staff, and a wonderful caring doctor, thank you very much for what you did for me! Henry

This doctor has a different bedside manor than any other I've known. He will take the time to discuss a concern further if you talk to him and assure him of your interest in understanding. He does take time to get to know.

Innovative and specializes in real preventive medicine

I am glad to hear some people felt comfortable with Dr. Mishner, but I did not. After taking my history, the rest of the visit was a sales pitch on how wonderful he was, and pushing his gym.My wife has been dealing with a lot of pain. During her visit, he showed little interest in listening, and then pushed her onto his Nusrse Practicioner.
