Dr. Harvey Frank Swan, MD

In recently looking for a new dermatologist, I happened to run across Dr Swan's name and it brought back terrible memories. In 1996 I saw Dr Swan about a skin condition and also asked him about a mole on the back of my thigh, which I told him had grown. He did not biopsy it but characterized it as an "old age spot" and gave it a shot of liquid nitrogen. The shot initially reduced the size but the mole grew back over time. A number of months later I went to another dermatologist because I did not feel comfortable with Dr. Swan. That dermatologist immediately did a biopsy and I discovered I had melanoma. Later I saw pictures of other moles evidencing melanoma and saw that my mole was "classic" melanoma. My treatment included a groin dissection and the removal of seven lymph nodes, and chemo treatment for a year. I consider myself lucky to be alive. I wrote Dr. Swan about my experience, but received no reply. What a surprise!

Pleasant staff - Dr. took care of my needs and gave me samples to try. I liked that idea since RX's are getting so expensive. I would recommend this Dr.'s office.

I am very impressed with Dr. Swan and his office staff. Dr. Swan is highly professional and very experienced. He has always made the right diagnosis and treated me kindly.

I am still in the waiting room after 45 minutes. When I arrived for my appt. time, there were 5 people that still had to be seen. Is he Cate Blanchette's dermatologist? I don't think so.

Dr. Swan was excellent in every respect. His staff was very professional and nice. Would highly recommend this doctor

I have no idea why anyone would not recommend Dr. Harvey Swan. We have had nothing but the best service, diagnoses and medical care for several years. This is one of the most experienced dermatologists in the country and I trust him with my family's lives and will continue to do so with complete confidence. It is unfortunate that a few patients and probably competitors can be so mean spirited with reviews.

I had a very good experience for over ten years with this Dr. Most of my family see him. Calling this Dr "creepy" is the most ridiculous thing. His office staff and the Dr treated everyone I know who go there with respect and curtesy, I have seen more patients be rude then anyone working in that office. I recommend this Dr for any general dermatology needs.

I have never been treated so poorly. The front desk staff was rude. The office manager was so rude and mean looking that I was afraid to ask why I had to wait 45 minutes past the time of my appointment in an office that was so small I had to stand the entire time not knowing if I would even be seen. When I finally saw the Dr he gave no greeting of any kind, sat down without making any eye contact, looked at my mole and said I don't know what your problem is. I got a very bad vibe from him. He was very creepy looking and acting. Ladies beware....DO NOT GO HERE.
