Dr. Harvey S Young

Took two weeks to get the appt even though severe discomfort. Waited one hour once i got there. Doctor was unsympathetic but most importantly, totally missed the diagnosis. Never even suggested gallstones. Primary physician suspected and sent me to another GI.

I have been to Dr. Young twice in 10 years for colonoscopies. From the time I make my appointment to the time I walk out the door, the staff and Doctor Young are friendly, courteous and helpful. Making my appointment was easy and set up for my convenience. I arrived and was treated with courtesy and helpfulness and a smile by the young lady who registered me for my procedure. The nursing staff was the best. They made me comfortable and were friendly and engaging. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous during the procedure. Doctor you was prompt and recognized me as a previous patient spent time getting to know how I was doing since my last procedure. He did not just rely on what was written in notes. I have no trouble recommending Dr. Young, the staff and the Waverly center facility to anyone looking for a good experience.

Dr. Young spent enough time in explaining his finding right after the scopy. He is gentle and caring. He does not make redundant appointments like most other GI dr. In other word, you go in once for scopy procedure only. And if everything is fine, he let you know immediately after the scopy procedure. You save a pre and post procedures visits. Other GI will charge you for sure two office visits : first one is " ok , I will do scopy for you." ANd the second one is : "your scopy looked fine." It cost your two copays, time and insurance payments too. I have referred all my family, friends to Dr. Young. ALso, they have staff can speak foreign language.
