Dr. Hasan Ercan, MD

I was referred to this man thru my insurance. It is suspected i was havng seizures. We arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and i soon began feeling a seizure coming on. I was taken back to a room and we requested the Dr come in to witnes an episode himself. He seemed agitated when he walked in, mentioned THREE TIMES that he was not done with his previous patient and then barely spent a moment with us before he dismissed my Symptoms. I have never been treated so poorly. I must say the office staff has tried to make it right and we were sent to another neuro. (I have twenty years experience in healthcare and have dealt with many doctors. Never have seen his level of care!)

I was diagnosed 10 years ago by an MS specialist as having Multiple Sclerosis. She left the area ad I need a new neuro. After waiting 40 minutes to see him, he walks in, introduced himself and announced I do not have MS. He spent 10 minutes blasting my old neurologist and saying how he has disproved so many of her diagnoses. He said I did not have MS without looking at my MRIs, talking to me about my symptoms or examining me. He looked in my throat and said I had sleep apnea. I have had 2 sleep studies done stating I do not. So, I informed him of this. When I questioned and challenged him, he started back tracking and by the time I left the office said there was a 50/50 chance I have MS.He did not discuss my symptoms. Did not want to talk about it. He just bragged about how he sent 5 of my previous doctor's patients out of his office without an MS diagnosis. He ordered a spinal tap, and I am awaiting results. I ended up with a headache from the tap, but when I called him for help he… said it was because I did not sleep enough the night before. I said I did not sleep because of the headache. he then asked how much I drank. I did not drink any alcohol. I told him so, he questioned my honesty and said it could not be a spinal tap headache.I hung up and went to the ER where a patch was done and my headache taken care of. He does not seem to know his stuff, seems to have a vendetta against this MS specialist I went to, and has NO bedside manners.
