Dr. Hasan Shahab, MD

My husband had an appointment at 11:30 AM and was not seen till 2:30 pm and the doctor and office staff went to lunch and left him waiting in the exam room. And I called the office 3 times and went there in person to get his records transferred to another doctor, but they will not send it I had to get it from his primary doctor because I couldn’t wait any longer it’s been over 3 months since the last time I asked for the records. I will not go there again .

I never see a doctor so dedicated to his patients than him. He is the one that mantain my mom alive. My mom has kidney failure and for over 8 years he is being taking care of my mother, discussing any kind of situation with the others doctors and creating a good team work. Now he is taking care of my dad and my husband. So far NO COMPLAINS!!!

He has literally saved my mother's life. This physician is brilliant and compassionate - the ABSOLUTE BEST!!

Hasan Shahab is a complete rip off Drnun He is demanding of me $780 dollars for a post hospital office visit. I was in the hospital for other reasons and I heartily wish the man never entered my room with his crazy nephrolopigist issues with me. He was not on my United healthplan and still treated me for 3 days after I should have been discharged from the hospital. Then I had a hosp follow up visit with him...I sat in a chair, he didn't do anything...tests or otherwise...and paid more attention to my sister than me. He should have checked to see that I was on his insurance plans before ever treating me. This quack needs to be exposed. He's smooth...and I refuse to pay monies for a quack that is a complete unethical idiot. He scared me with no reason and then refuses to take responsibility. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY!! $780 for a post hosp office visit...I don't think so! His office people would agree with me...and I'm not the first. Bite me Dude...you are going… to lose your license!

Dr Shahab has been my husband's nephrologist for 4+ yrs now. He is a good dr but lacks bedside manner. His office staff are the worst bunch of people we have ever come across. Every month we go through my husband not receiving his refills in a timely manner causing him to run out, The medicine my husband takes are anti-rejection medicine due to a kidney transplant so he is not to be without them or miss a dose at anytime. It's been a over a week since a refill was requested and we are still waiting.....my husband ran out of medicine a few days ago. The office closed for the rest of the week so we called his answering service who informed us that Dr Shahab was not available until after the new year so another dr was taking his calls. The dr got the message we left and got in touch with Dr Shahab who then called my husband. When my husband told him what happened all he asked was what medication do you need and what's the pharmacist number......not I'm sorry this keeps happening and I'll… speak to the staff or anything. Mind you, this is not the first time my husband has spoken to him about this matter. Dr Shahab is a good dr but not good enough to risk my husband's health because his staff is incompetent and he's not willing to address issues.

Love the Dr just don't care for the office staff.

So far my experience with him and his front desk staff is superior. The billing staff needs work.

Dr. Shahab COULD be excellent and very helpful if his staff was not so rude and disorganized and if he was kinder as he dealt with patients. He has a good understanding of the issues he covers, but everyone in the Orlando office is impolite.

My mother met this doctor at the Florida East Hospital. He was nice and spoke clearly about my mom's health. I had good expectations for keeping my mom in his care outside of the hospital. My mom said he was still nice in the office. My issues are with the lack of communication in the office. I had to drive to the office to set an appointment because nobody answers the phone. I am suppose to be bringing my mom for another appointment next week and get blood work this week. She did not get any paperwork for blood testing and the lab didn't receive any electronic paperwork. The office isn't open til 1:00, so now we have to wait another day to get it done because they never called me back when I left a message last Thursday. It is now Tuesday (granted there was a 3-day holiday weekend), the old Nephrologist office we had prior to the hospital visit was prompt with returning calls either the same day or in 24-hours. I am looking into changing doctors now so that I can have more reliability… and stability in her care. This is unacceptable.
