He earned Master of Science hospital administration from Central Michigan University in 1992. Hashim is a clinical associate professor of pediatric and emergency medicine in Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has been working as regional medical director for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan since 1999. He is board certified in general pediatric and pediatric emergency medicine. Dr. Yar provides pediatric emergency care at St. John Emergency Department, main campus.
