Excellent bedside manners

RUN!!!

Last year my husband was told he had Kidney cancer. After test was done , Dr. Alsheik assured us that he could take care of it and he did. He was able to put us at ease and kept our fears down as much as any dr. could .I recommend him .

Does not provide quality care, hopefully the patient will not die do to his incompetence. Follow up-not if you don't have insurance

I was finally able to get the person's name who was very rude to me on the phone she talked to me in a very condescending way and was very nasty just because you were going to doctors office getting paid minimum-wage doesn't mean that you're better than me her name is Christy. You need to be fired you are not a people person you belong in a cubicle where no one can see or talk to you!!!! Never in my life have I came across such an ignorant person.

DR,Alshiek knows what the problem is and takes care of it right away.

PROS: Seems to care about his patients, easy to contact after hours, competent staff. CONS: Orders unnecessary tests, orders things like MRI when less expensive options are sufficient, time spent in waiting room was inexcusably long.

unprofessional and rude behavior

I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer by Dr. Alsheik. This took place after he performed a biopsy in his office. As he had assured me, the doctor used plenty of numbing measures and I felt virtually NO pain at all as he took 20 biopsy samples.Dr. Alsheik will probably be doing my upcoming prostatectomy and the cancer grading, bone scan & abdomen/pelvic CT all indicate no spreading of the disease.If you are seeking for a very kind, easy to talk to urologist -- especially if a prostate biopsy is needed -- I would highly recommend Dr. Alsheik.He spends a lot of time with me, is very comforting and reassuring and has performed hundreds of Da Vinci robotic prostatectomies.I have a lot of confidence in him and feel very lucky that his office is so close to my home.Yes, he often has a full waiting room of patients. But that is because he is a very good urologist. I've never waited more than 30-40 minutes to be called into the exam room -- which is certainly reasonable and comparable… with other doctors' waiting rooms.

I was VERY disappointed in Dr. Alsheik's office today. My husband had an appointment at 3:30 today. We arrived at 3:15 to find the office filled to capacity with no open seats. We asked the receptionist about it and she very smugly said he was the best around. I asked how long she thought we had to wait to see him and she said 1 and a half to 2 hours. I sat next to two people who had been waiting for 2 hours. We decided to walk out without seeing him because we hadn't planned on being there the entire afternoon.I realize he is a doctor, and his time is precious, but their scheduling practices leaves me to believe they have no consideration whatsoever for the time they expect you to wait over and beyond the time they scheduled you for your appointment. VERY VERY INCONSIDERATE.
