Dr. Hassan N Kesserwani, MD

Let me preface this by saying Dr himself is fine- but unfortunately you have to get past his office staff to get to see him. They are terrible. Totally unprofessional. Second you only see him when you are new and all follow ups go to his nurse practitioner who is a condescending which with a capital B. Rude doesn’t even begin to describe it. I was a patient of his for 15 years when he made the change to where follow ups see the nurse practitioner. They also will cut you if you miss 3 appointments. They cut me for missing 3 in 15 years. I missed my third because my mom passed away. It wasn’t the day she died but i had lots on my mind and lost track of my appointment that week. I called to reschedule and was told i was no longer a patient because i had missed 3 times. (That was my third miss in fifteen years! ) No flexibility given the circumstances really? Fine. My new dr is better anyway. And no need to see the nurse. I actually see a dr.

He spends maybe 60 seconds with you at each visit if you are lucky. He has ADHA at the highest level. I was ready to ask questions and he said follow me. I thought maybe he was taking me to get a test done and he dropped me off at some chairs in the hallway and went into another patients room. The chairs were at the nurses station in the back. He was done with me and left me to find out from the nurse if I was ready to go or needed to make another appt. He said I had fluid on my brain and put me on a diuretic. He wasted 6 months of my time and followed up with another MRI which showed the same thing but his male nurse called me to say my scan was normal. I immediately got a referral to the neurology dept at UAB in Birmingham who saw the problem and scheduled me for surgery 2 weeks later. Kesserwani is Dr. Cray Cray and his office is a circus. Do yourself a favor and drive somewhere else for good care because he is a nut job.

His office staff are the worst people I have ever dealt with in my life! Dr. Kesserwani is a good doctor, but I know multiple people who have left his practice as patients due to his rude staff. Flowers Hospital has gone downhill and Dr. Kesserwani's office has also since becoming associated with Flowers.

Incompetent

They don't inform the patient about address change! Also if a patient has to reschedule due to a health issue, family emergency( like when your mother has passed away unexpectedly or your vehicle breaks down) they will no longer take or except you as a patient!! They act like the patient does these things on purpose when in fact it's the opposite. I will not recommend Dr. Kesserwani to anyone.

Dr. Kesserwani is an excellent Dr. After seeing many Dr.s and getting no help I saw Dr. Kesserwani. He correctly diagnosed me with brain stem migraines and he and his Wonderful staff worked hard to get me approved for the medication that I needed. I have finally found the neurologist that is helping me get better. He was recommended to me by a friend, and I would recommend him to anyone!!

This man is BY FAR the best Neurologist in the South if not the country. He is so quick and diagnosed and cured my problem in under 20 minutes, This doctor is very professional and does not waste time on chit chat. Doctor Kesserwani is very nice and kind and will answer any questions you have. If you have any Neurological problems/issues this is the man to go to.

Guess I expect more trouble shooting and less band aid fix. Waking up to a dibilatating migraine is something (in 44 years of being alive) new for me and has happen 3 time in the past 16 mth. 2 have been with in the past 6 months, didnt get a chance to say that. The doc was quick to reply, (less than a 2min talk) especially since he was late in seeing me by almost an hr. He made it seem like its all normal and I'm not extreme enough for him to do any tests to. He was quick to throw some pills my way and get me on my way. What a waste of money, work on you people skills, boy he was good at cutting me off also.

Poor quality of care, in and out, challenges the way you are feeling and MS issues you are having. No way I would ever go back after the year I went

Dr Kesserwani is brilliant and has been my dr as well as both of my parents and now my husband. He is very knowledgeable about all neurological issues along with other issues with the body. I wouldn’t want any other neurologist taking care of me.
