I first saw Dr. Lowenstein when I was an inpatient at CSMC. Dr. Lowenstein was very attentive, understanding, courteous and informative. I asked if I could see him in his office post surgery and he responded with a definitel "yes." He is very likeable and is an excellent Infectious Disease Specialist. I was, and am, extremely pleased with him.

While visiting our children in LA, I became ill and was admitted to Cedar Sinai where I spent 4 days with a UTI which became complicated due to E-Coli bacterial in my blood. Was treated with IV antibiotics and fluids and a visit each day from Dr. Lowenstein. Whatever anyone says about him, it's insufficient. By all standards a physician should be judged, he gets an A+ in every one: knowledge, ability to engage the patient in fully understandable terms, patience, personality, caution, and simply coming across as a fine human being. If you need an infectious disease doctor, run don't walk! Thank you Dr. Lowenstein - I am so grateful for your caring and expertise at a time when I was so ill.
