Dr. Hayley Moak-Blest, DO

We had to see Dr. Moak Blest because our doctor was not in the office. She failed to adequately assess my medically involved child who has a diagnosed airway disorder and ongoing Dysphagia/aspiration with pneumonia despite clear symptoms and refused to consult my child’s care team, claiming that her expertise means she doesn’t need to consult other specialists, even on a child who is not her patient. Dr. Moak Blest refused to listen to my concerns and would not order a chest X-ray, insisting it was likely an ear infection, even after it being clear that my child’s ears were fine. When I asked if we could see another provider because I was uncomfortable with her assessment given that she didn’t even obtain an O2 reading on my child when they were having low oxygen at home and was refusing to order a chest X-ray or consult our specialist team, she told me to leave. Because of her delaying my daughters diagnosis of pneumonia, my daughter had to have an urgent invasive procedure due to… concerns of lung damage and aspiration given my daughter’s history of severe aspiration and ongoing Dysphagia. Dr. Moak Blest knowingly falsified my daughter’s medical record and visit information to cover her mistakes. She also claimed to have spent over 60 minutes on my daughters care when the reality is that she spent literally 8 minutes with us from start to finish. When I let her know that my daughter did in fact have pneumonia, as diagnosed by her airway team simply by listening to her lungs, all she had to say was, “I sure hope they checked her ears.” She is arrogant, dishonest, refuses to listen and as a result she harmed a child. I would never recommend this woman as a care provider to anyone.

I followed Dr Moak-Blest from a previous office. That is how much I respect her. She really cares for her patients and spends time with them explaining things. I can tell she knows me as her patient, reads up on tests/results from other drs before seeing me. During visits she makes sure to write down the recommendations she gives you...not expecting you to remember five things when you walk out the door. She has been an amazing dr for me and my family. She even followed up with phone calls during difficult times to check up on me. What dr does this today? I would recommend her to anyone. (I will say that there are times I had had to wait, but I am more than ok with that as she always will spend the time needed.)

Dr Moak-Blest is literally the best Doctor I have ever seen. She is down to earth, and genuinely cares about her patients. She spends time with her patients, not running to the next appointment. She is also throughout and explains and writes down what she has talked you through.
