Dr. Hazem F Shehata, MD

Waited time is ridiculous. Have had to wait any time between 2-4 hours just to be seen. Was rushed thru appointment and the few concerns that were addressed he just told me to go see a different doctor. I really feel he overbooks and then rushes you through your appointment because he's so far behind. Not at all confident in the care he gives his patients.

If you have a day to waste while waiting to see a Dr, then this one is for you! His appointments are Never on time and always at least a couple hours behind. You can go in starting at 6am to get a walk-in that day but the Dr doesn't come in until 730/745 and starts seeing the people who had appointments at 7 first. Not sure why they would even schedule people that early when the Dr isn't even there. No wonder why all the appointments are always behind. When you finally do get in to see him, it's almost always in his office where he sits and writes script after script for you and it always feels rushed. Don't waste your time with this office.

I used Dr Shehata for 5 years but got extremely fed up with how he does his appointments. He schedules about 10 people for the same time and then tells you to call in and see if he is ready for you to come to the office and wait some more there. Last winter different times I had a12 o'clock appointment and by 7 he was still not ready for me. I don't like driving after dark and I live in the foothills. I finally ended up going to the foothills walk in clinic. He is a good doctor if you don't mind waiting all day. Sometimes getting my prescriptions refilled was a hassle too.

Ok, I'm a senior and when I heard about Dr. Shehata from so many of my neighbors, I had to give him a try. So, ok, you do need to wait sometimes but that wait is so worth it. Dr. Shehata is the absolute best Dr. I have ever had. He's kind and he goes the extra mile for you. When I have an appt. to see Dr. Shehata, I call it "Dr. Shehata Day" so that if I have to wait to see him, I have nothing else going on the day that I will need to do. He's well worth it. I adore him. His office is so welcoming too. The staff are kind and always helpful. So for me, I highly recommend Dr. Shehata. I pray he's no where near retirement...!!!!!

Doctors can be super hit or miss in Yuma and it is really difficult to find experience. Doctor Shehata is one of the best doctors I have come across in my time living in Yuma so far. The wait might be really long before your appointment but it definitely is worth it because he always offers thorough and very personalized care to each of his patients. He spends a good amount of time getting to understand exactly what you are going through as well as offering very thorough plans to help you reach your goals in health.

Great Doctor but needs a better way for patience to get done quicker. I waited two hours in his office then another hour and a half in the waiting room for him to see me. More than once. Still a great Doctor.

Dr. Shehata is amazing. So knowledgable, sweet, friendly and caring. I would recommend him to everyone!
