Dr. He-Kyung Kim-Yu

I had to do root canal during my high school year. I went to Dr. Kim-Yu's office and I am SOOOO HAPPY that I went to her office! She really knows her stuff well. It took me two visits to take care of that nasty thing and this gold crown is still in good shape! Thank you Dr. Kim-Yu for taking care of my teeth! I never went to dental office before and she really helped me a lot. Since then I did scaling and check-ups and she took care of two additional cavities that was detected using some digital laser thing. She cares about her patients that during the treatment my teeth had cracks so it hurts but she did her best to take care of them too. If you want to have yours treated well, ask Dr. Kim-Yu about your teeth. I highly recommend her!

The ABSOLUTE WORST dental experience I have ever had! Totally unprofessional discussing the price and procedure BEFORE looking into my mouth (no x-ray or anything). She actually quoted me a $400 price to do an UNNECESSARY root canal after ERONEOUSLY stating that my insurance won't cover it because it was medicaid. She sent me out of there in pain without trying anything to help temporarily. She even almost suggested that I continue to use antibiotics that I found from EXACTLY a year ago (she studied the bottle and everything) handed them back and said you should just continue those and asked ME how many I should take. I had to push her for a new script and turned the question back to her. I really believe she had NO IDEA! She must have quoted the $400 price to me 4 TIMES. I just left. I was in too much pain and I KNEW my insurance covered the root canal. I also knew I wasn't allowing her to do it, so it wasn't worth the debate. My sister in law is a dentist and in my opinion,… this dentist should lose her right to practice. She's incompetent, dangerous, a liability and worst of all, LACKS INTEGRITY.

This dentist will overcharge your healthplan for a simple cleaning and xrays. ......and you could be stuck paying the diference
