Don’t waste your time and energy on this doctor. He acts like he cares but he really doesn’t. Since they were bought out by CHI the care has gotten much worse. The doctors don’t have nurses. They just have medical assistants that no nothing. I don’t get calls for critical labs either. The MA sends portal messages but who looks at that every day. I really thought better of him when I first started using him five years ago but not anymore. I am a retired RN and the care here is shameful.

Upon seeing Dr Showalter for several years his practice skills continue to decline. Labs are not reviewed and addressed, such as low iron, elevated cholesterol, elevated triglycerides, etc. My last visit was a waste of time and money. The major concern he had was to push the covid vac while my triglycerides were 233, and my iron and b12 were both low. I take a cholesterol med and both iron and b-12. Thankfully I had the insight to have the nurse send my labs to the patient portal so I could be my own advocate.

Terrible experience and got billed for hundreds of dollars of unnecessary labs. Personality is nonexistent and no attempt made to actually really address my concerns. Don't waste your time with him or with the diagnostic clinic.

Did not treat my condition. The clinic is nothing more than a test mill. Test after test with no effort to address condition. Go elsewhere.

Dr Showalter is relatively quiet and that makes him able to listen. He does not have a big ego or come in with his own agenda, but hears my concerns and does not dismiss them. He takes the appropriate steps with tests and outside referrals to specialists. He is proactive and his approach and does not make me feel like I'm begging for help.
