Dr. Heather Amelia Broussard Lawson, DO

I paid Dr. Lawson $500 to inject filler in my lips. I gave very specific instructions where I wanted the filler to go, to put the filler right in the middle, at the cupids bow, then to fill in the bottom of my upper lip. She put absolutely none of the filler where I had asked, she actually put the filler in the area above my upper lip, and out to the sides. I actually have a "hole" or indentation right in the middle, where there is no filler. I could tell during the process she was not putting the filler in the correct location, but was so swollen when she finished I could not tell a thing. A few weeks after the injection when the swelling went down it was clear she injected it in the wrong area. I called her office and told them about the issue, but never received a call back. I then consulted with two Dr's and the pharmaceutical representative for that specific filler. In the words of one Dr., the filler was "injected in the wrong plane" "there is a significant imbalance of filler… and everything needs to be dissolved". Both Dr's suggested that I will need to get everything dissolved and start over. I was quoted a price of around $2000 to do the corrections necessary, and it would take multiple visits. This is not only very painful, but will cost me more money and time off of work. I also need to note that I requested to the Dr. that she use a filler called Volbella, the Dr. told me she had a filler called Versa, that would work better. Well as it turns out, as the pharmaceutical rep told me, that Versa contains no lidocaine, which is why I was in excruciating pain during the injection. I was never informed of this, and would of refused it had I known. I am now left with deformed lips and face. I look much worse in person. I know this is embarrassing to leave a comment like this, and even post photos of it. I wish more women would stand up and post reviews from these bad injectors, I could have possible avoided this catastrophe. That is why I am putting myself out there and posting this review!
