Steer clear of this unprofessional uncaring dr. Does not return phone calls and basically doesn’t give a crap. Unorganized office. The only thing nice I have to say is her front desk girls are nice. Too bad they work for a poor excuse for a doctor

I became a patient of Dr. Dawson because my mother was a patient. And if I could go into detail on here I would of how incompetent and irresponsible and disorganized and that's the shortest list. And she says to people go home and pray when you bluntly tell her what's wrong with your body. She completely ignores you and I finally had enough of her. I ended up having numerous different surgeries after I left her practice due to the neglect from her. She shoved her religion down your throat every visit. She didn't listen to you and what was wrong at all. And this isn't the worst of her atrocities that she's committed and I think my Mother passed away due to medical neglect by her. My mom was always a frail woman and had serious health issues and had just been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. It's was during the height of COVID 19 and momma had had some serious health issues one of which was a broken hip. The month of December my momma had become really sick and disoriented and was… having issues with eating and drinking and memory and mobility. I had moved back home to be near my kids and grandkids and made the late night call after my nieces had called me to tell me my mom had been admitted to Trident hospital. This woman informed me in No uncertain terms she was spending time with her family because the were tired from the pandemic. And she must have thought I was stupid because I knew it was her I was speaking to the whole time when she was trying to act like her receptionist, which also speaks to her deceit and arrogance. After awhile my mom went home only to return again a month later, because of her health and was supposed to be coming home when I got the heart wrenching call every one dreads my momma was gone. And because of the pandemic no autopsies were rarely being done. So, no cause of death other than COVID-19 was used and I know she didn't have COVID. She got the shot because she knew the risks were high. And I had spoken to her and she was doing better. I still say due to neglect from the start by this doctor refusing to call the hospital when asked medical information wasn't given and resulted in my mom's passing away the day before my birthday and in between her grandkids birthdays and now we have a emptiness in the family that will Never go away!! And this is just the start of the horrible journey my family has suffered from this so called doctor. And yes I spit venom at her because of what she has done to my family.And she sure doesn't deserve any stars more like angry marks.

If you want a doctor that shoves her religion in your face every appointment, becomes vindictive when you don't agree with her 100%, is unorganized with papers and junk everywhere in her exam room, cuts you off of medication(cold turkey)that a psychiatrist prescribed you (that you have been taking for at least a year), and calls you back an hour after your appointment time, then this is the doctor for you. If not, run like the wind in the other direction.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! My appointment was at 2:30. I was not called back until 4:00. I was nervously awaiting an injection since I have a fear of needles. As I was sitting there, Dr. Heather Dawson suggested that based on my looks (tattooed latino male) I should seek prayer and introduce myself to God. This was absolutely inappropriate. Her professional medical opinion should not include anything about religion. After I informed her I do not pray, She became angry and stormed out the office. Extremely unprofessional and there are consequences to such actions from a medical professional.

I feel like I'm finally ready to talk about this. This woman is an awful excuse for a human. A year ago, I gave her a one star review. But I didnt go into detail about why. I came to her because I needed to be treated for depression. I was experiencing awful symptoms and had been for years. It got to a point that I just needed help. I came to her office in a bad space and just told her about everything I was feeling. 'Why' I thought I was feeling what I was. She told me to leave my fiance, with whom I had a child. She also told me that I shouldnt be having sex with him (not her place) because it's not good in Gods eyes. Something I ignored. She prescribed me antidepressants. They worked! I came back, telling her how I felt. Then she asked "are you still with him?" "Are you still sleeping in the same bed as him?" And she got visibly upset. She started mimicking me and the way I speak about my life. Then she said "if he is good enough to lay with he is good enough to marry. You're no… better than a harlot by being with him not married." Shes a complete jerk. No doctor should ever talk to a patient like this. No doctor should EVER weigh in on a patient's personal life in the way that she did. I wish I would have had the courage to say something about it then but I didnt. I was so embarrassed and I couldn't even bring myself to tell anyone. I hope this review helps someone avoid being humiliated in the way that I was. She is trash.

Dr. Dawson is always a pleasure. God fearing Dr rather than a Dr thinking they're God! Always seen within a few days of needing any follow up. Always received undivided attention with appropriate care and referals to specialists when necessary. Always prompt with test and their answers. One of the BEST!- Alton

She is very rude she does not cared if Dr. Looses patients over her attitude. Leaves rude voice messages and will not send important information to you when needed. Has also told me I wasn’t able to see the doctor one time when I was right there because they closed in an hour and a half and there was no other patients other than one more coming. Because of her I can only give a poor review and I have never given a review in my life on here until now. It was that bad of an experience just over the phone for the past few days I have been seeing this doctor for six years up until today.

I was a patient of hers for a couple of years. At first her bed side manner was very tolerable. Then she went downhill. Her staff is a joke. She refuses to listen always staring at her laptop typing away. I have numerous medical conditions which require follow ups with specialists. And she gets offended when I tell her I’ve made appointments with them. Doctors and specialists should work together and not get offended. Her office is very dirty and disorganized. I could go on but just do yourself a favor and stay away.

The day after I was out of the hosiptal went to see this Dr and told her That I had Brain Surgery at St Francis Hospital she just went off on me and told me I was not telling The truth because they don’t do that type of surgery there I thought That I losing my mind And left her office and never return. And My surgery was at St Francis!!!!

I had a pleasant experience. Waited for about 15 minutes, and had the doctor's undivided attention for what I needed assessed. Everything was handled in a professional manner, and I was pleased with the attentiveness. Her evaluation and recommendations seemed helpful, and I would come back again. Not sure about some of the bad reviews, and if it's coming from someone who can be a high maintenance. But I would give her a chance, and recommend Dr. Dawson to my family and colleagues.
