Dr. Heather Greenspan, MD

I saw this doctor in the Hospital. She acted very cold and indifferent. Definitely not someone you want caring for you when you are in psychological distress.

I haven’t always liked her but I do now - she truly truly cares about her patients. When I started with her I was heavily using drugs and she kind of called me out and made me mad, because she was doing her job. I kept going because I know that, and she does it well. Now she’s probably my favorite psych dr I’ve had. She listens and wants to know about your life and your feelings, she looks you in the eye and remembers things, she’s just so much more attentive than other psych drs I’ve had that just write a script that’s it.

Accused me of being an alcoholic over and over again because I drink about 3 beers most Friday night at the bar...and that is it. I don't drink at home, and I literally only drink on Fridays in a social setting. Come on now, I am in my early twenties. Be reasonable. She also told me I probably caused my UTI from not taking proper hygiene care after having sex. I get that it's important to teach about possible preventative measures, but it is bacteria. It happens sometimes despite taking proper care of things. We don't have to put the blame on someone for having a common bacterial infection. The infection is bad enough! I don't know why the psychiatrist even said anything about my UTI. It wasn't her place.
