Dr. Heather Lynn Harmon, MD

I just had my second surgery for the cancer that was overlooked by doctors Harmon and Brightwell. Let me make no mistake in notifying all that Brightwell is an arrogant jerk and is to be avoided at all costs. Harmon is very kind with a nice disposition, but unfortunately not a competent physician. She treated me for over a year for a dangerous cancer that she was unable to diagnosis and them turned me over to her equally incompetent, arrogant , and annoying jerk partner, the pitiful Joseph Brightwell. Brightwell did me the favor of making me angry enough, due to being a despicable human being, to see a real eye doctor who did cancer surgery on my eyelid and just did an adjustment of the eyelid reconstruction after a year. This was all necessary due to the malpractice of Harmon and Brightwell for over a year.

I saw Dr. Harmon for several years. Thought a lot of her as a person and still do. However, she missed a big one when it comes to my diagnosis. I had a pretty dangerous eyelid cancer called a sebaceous carcinoma. She removed it once but did not biopsy the tissue. Subsequent MDs cannot explain why she may have made that decision to not biopsy. When it returned , she finally realized that she may be dealing with a cancer and handed me off to her partner, the arrogant jerk Joseph Brightwell, MD. In his case the MD must stand for Mentally Delayed. This dimwit refused to do a biopsy because, "that thing is full of puss and if I biopsy it , I will have to deal with messed up eyelashes. It will go away if you will just be patient." I am not making this up. Those were his exact words. I guess he meant that it would go away in my casket, because when this buffoon made me mad enough to see a competent eye doctor, I found out that I had dangerous cancer that is at high risk to… metastasize. I had eyelid removal and reconstruction, tumor removal and 25 doses of radiation. This was all missed by doctors Harmon and Brightwell. Brightwell was the biggest offender as he has convinced his partners that he is the cancer authority. He should be named Dim Bulb instead of Brightwell. And did I mention that on top of being incompetent and putting my life in danger, he is an arrogant, pompous jerk? This place is a factory to make a lot of money on lasik and cataract surgery. They have lost their calling to be real doctors. I had cancer for over a year and was scolded instead of treated. I went to U of L ophthalmologists for real treatment and received outstanding care after the jerk Brightwell made my mad enough to leave. I guess that I should be thankful that he is so offensive or I would have never seen a real, competent eye doctor. Dr. Chris Compton was my doctor at U of L and he was amazing.

Dr Harmon is a great and caring doctor. Highly recommend her

Very sweet and congenial doctor. Excellent bedside mabbers. Did my cataract surgery, zero pain and zero discomfort. I could not believe that I actually had 20/20 vision afterward. Thanks Dr. Harmon and staff!

Dr. Harmon has been my eye care physician for years and I would trust her with my own children's eye care. She is amazingly compassionate and extremely well educated.
