Summary
Our MRI unit is the Phillips Eclipse 1.5 Tesla Magnet. This system combines high field strength for superior image quality, with short-bore design, for maximum patient comfort. This scanner has the spacious feel of an "open" unit, but still produces exceptional quality images in almost half the time of many "open" machines. This is the newest design in radiology equipment, and one that is used most often in University Medical Center settings for Medical research. The high field strength for the magnet offers unsurpassed anatomic detail and resolution not available on typical "open" MR's.
