Md Heather Elaine Maune, MD

Dr Maune is an absolute saint. She truly CARES. She takes her time and listens every appointment. She never falls short, she always meets my every need and then some. This will be my fourth baby with her and I swear if she ever moves across the country, I’m following her-lol.

Her nurse, Karen, and Dr Maune are extremely rude and unprofessional. They will be receiving a letter from my lawyer soon. Take your care elsewhere, ladies.

Best obgyn I've ever had! I saw her as a recommendation from a friend and couldn't be happier. I have never been pregnant but I've never felt as "2nd string" at her office, which I feel like happens a lot. It seems that at a lot of obgyn places, unless you are pregnant, you don't receive the same quality care/service. I've never gotten this feeling seeing Dr. Maune. She is always super knowledgeable about options for birth control which is my primary concern. I was a little anxious about getting my IUD inserted but the experience was ironically comfortable with Dr. Maune.

I saw Dr. Maune after Dr. Oldfield retired from the women’s care practice. There were some things during my pregnancy visits that raised a couple of eyebrows, but being that we hired a doula and in our third trimester switching physicians was a lot to consider last minute. We were able to deliver safety and actually were seen by an on call physician since Dr. Maune said she was calling it a night to go home to her son. Again, we were okay with that only because we’d hired a doula and already had plans to deliver naturally. Following delivery, Dr. Maune and I discussed my annual pap smear which she informed me wasn’t necessary since my pap the year before had been normal. Since I’m aware of issues arising for women within a 12 months timeframe, I discussed still receiving a pap smear which she agreed to. After my appointment I was not given any information regarding how to retrieve my results. After calling several times regarding the issue, I was finally given a number and info to… retrieved my results. I called for 2 months straight before finally calling her new practice for results and was told that the older practice still had my records. I just got off of the phone with women’s care and was informed that although I was swabbed by Dr. Maune and everything else normally reviewed for a pap was done that no pap smear had been given. I’m currently awaiting the office’s nurse to retrieve my lab work to figure out why I was swabbed if not for a Pap smear. The nurse has already told me she has no clue why I would be told I was receiving a pap smear when none had been done. I am upset and beyond disappointed. My family and I have decided that we will not be following Dr. Maune to the new Heritage practice.

Have always been very happy with Dr. Maune, her compassion, her willingness to spend as long with me as needed to discuss issues.

I recently saw Dr. Maune for a well woman and she was wonderful. She spent a whole hour with me, never rushing me, and always asking "is there anything else I can help you with today?" Knows her stuff and very understanding. I definitely recommend!

She is phenomenal! Switched to Dr. Maune after having a TERRIBLE prenatal experience at another doctors office. Dr. Maune not only took me on as a patient late in the game, she answered all our questions and generally was excited to be our doctor! HIGHLY recommended!

I have only been with her for a couple months for i have only been in Tennessee for apx 8 months but she has a heart of gold I had been dealing with some issues back home in another state for years and the Dr wanted try different things verses eliminating the issue but she has seen that i am suffering and is straight to the point and has found things that my Dr. back home has over looked ~ I love her she is a life saver ...
