Dr. Heather Catherine Mielke, DO

I had to get a physical for work. Recently my employer required us all to find our own doctor or use theirs on visit days, which is a joke. I have avoided doctors for years. Dr Mielke is my wife’s pcp, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my wife loves her. Well so do I. I appreciated that she explained everything that was going to happen, and answered questions that I had. All in all, it was a good visit. I was deathly afraid beforehand but she made having a physical very easy.

Dr. Mielke is a very caring doctor who spent time with me. I had to wait alittle bit but she is worth the wait. She listened to my concerns and got back to me with results within a few days. I highly recommend her.

I was a bit appalled with how one of the medical assistants treated me. I had a shirt on and she wanted me to take it off to get my blood pressure. I wasn't comfortable but she insisted I do this because my shirt was too thick. I've never in my life had this happen and I was very disgusted with it but of course waited for the doctor to come in anyway. Mielke is very nice and caring but every time I make an appointment with her I am waiting 30-45 minutes to see her. Whenever I make an appointment with her I know I will be spending at least an hour and a half to two hours which is ridiculous to me. Definitely might switch doctors soon.

The staff are extremely rude, do not care about pt's at all. They "accidently" changed my address in the system, never apologized, never answered my about the HIPAA violation that was, or what was sent to that address. Dr does not listen to your concerns, often rushes you out, has even laughed at my smptoms. I would not come here ever again. I only rated one star because it did not allow you to give 0 stars.

Dr. Mielke is a very nice, caring doctor who unlike some doctors, takes the time to talk with you about your concerns, and never makes you feel rushed. She errs on the side of caution with her diagnoses and treatments, and refers you to specialists when appropriate. I have no qualms in recommending her as a family physician.

have had to go to my 3rd doctor since dr. mielke since she refused to help any further. wasted a ton of money because i had to go to 3 specialists and then back to a new primary care physician. the only thing she knows how to do is refer patients to other doctors and even then does not do that well. she referred me to doctors that had to then refer me to the appropriate doctors bc they said that do not treat that.
