Ms. HEATHER NICOLE SELF FNP-BC is a BOARD CERTIFIED NEPHROLOGY FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONERHeather Self is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Macon Medical Group in July 2021.Heather obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Macon State College where she was honored on the President’s List for her academic achievements. As a Registered Nurse, Heather worked at our local hospitals in various specialties including critical care, cardiology, orthopedics, and women’s health. She was nominated for Navicent Health’s Inaugural Nursing Excellence Award by her colleagues for her commitment to patient care and teamwork.Heather earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. During her Master’s program she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for achieving academic excellence. As an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner, she is trained to treat and manage patients of all ages and from all walks of life. Prior to joining Macon …Medical Group, she worked as a hospital medicine NP and emergency medicine NP at Navicent Health, Coliseum Medical Center and Crisp Regional Hospital.
