Heather Smith, FNP

Heather earned her Nursing degree from Bay de Noc Community College in Iron Mountain and worked in UP Health System - Marquette's Intensive Care Unit for several years before traveling and later earning a Masters from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Heather provides Occupational Medicine services to employees seeking care for workplace-related injuries, examinations and reviews. An Upper Peninsula (UP) native, Heather is excited to be settled in the area and serving her hometown community. "Ultimately, the cliche 'there's no place like home' could not have been more true," she said. "We wanted to start a family and the UP is where we wanted to be rooted." In her free time, Heather said she'll be taking advantage of living in a place where she gets to experience all four seasons with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, softball, yoga and watching hockey.
