Dr. Heather Dawn Straight, DO

I was seeing Dr. Straight, and during that time she dismissed my symptoms that I was having, never ordered blood tests, and was very short in discussing anything with me. I left her office from a procedure with no instructions on after care. I do not recommend this doctor, as she is completely incompetent and rude. She does not even offer the standard of care that other physicians do. Horrible experience.

"Dr." Straight ignored tell-tale symptoms of kidney failure in me for over a year, insisting that I just needed to lose a few pounds and I would get better. She's incompetent and I believe that my complete kidney failure was a direct result of her negligence.

Heather Straight was so kind during 2 appointments dealing with my depression and said she was going to get me better. I had to see another doctor for more in-depth treatment and wanted her opinion about my new meds. She walked straight in the door and said "I already told you I can't help you with this" and was very rude and seemed irritated by me being there. All I was asking was her opinion since she's my primary Doctor, I did not ask for any prescriptions, I only wanted her opinion since I knew her a little better and thought she would help me. I thought she was going to get me better but she left me feeling more hopeless. It's really a shame you go to a doctor for help and end up being better off without them.

She is one of the rudest human being I have ever known! She and her nurses feel that everyone is beneath them and they treat that way. They call it being "brutality honest".

This doctor was very knowledgeable about my conditions. Even the referral she made was with another very competent professional. I wish the office was closer to home, but it is worth the drive. Even though it may seem that she is pressured from her administration to stay on schedule; she always takes time to answer all my questions.

Dr Straight has a very pleasant personality and enjoys to give detailed explanations of her analysis. I was very satisfied with the way she explained to me what she is discovering and how she is coming to her conclusion about my case. I would recommend her to other patients.

Very unprofessional, unwilling to assist with mental well being. She believes a pill will solve all problems and counseling is an unnecessary practice. Apparently thinks she is the best doctor ever and she couldn't be further from the truth. All she wants to do is talk about WVU sports and not your issues. I have been waiting two years for my test results, obviously I will never get them and she will not give referrals, going back to the best doctor speech earlier. Very rude towards staff as well as patients. Would never recommend to anyone!

Heather Straight is one of the rudest "doctors" in this area. She is extremely disrespectful to the hospital staff. If she treats her coworkers with such distain... I don't want her treating me.
