Dr. Heather C Williams, MD

Took my father to see this doctor at the Veterans Hospital. She talks too fast, only wanted to operate, and was uncaring when we tried to ask questions. Check out her reviews and work history before seeing her. Our veterans deserve better.

I had right hand surgery performed by Dr. Heather C. Williams a week ago yesterday. Here it is a week and a day later and I am still in major pain. According to Dr. Heather Williams I should be pain free now. Dr. Heather Williams have done absolutely nothing for my pain. No tests , X-rays, MRIs, medications, nothing. She keeps saying I should be pain free now. Well I am not. I regret letting her perform my surgery. I am having severe pain and discomfort now that I wasn't having before the surgery. Dr. Heather Williams carries a god like attitude meaning the bucks start and stop with her. I feel personally she doesn't care. She has no compassion for me. I would not let Dr. Heather Williams do surgery on my pets. You do not want Dr. Heather Williams to perform your surgery. You have been warned!!!

this lady is no good , she had to pull a pin out of my hand ans she had no consideration !! she was mad at me cause it was job related and she sold me out for the company !! she is all for the company that you work for they pay her to lie about your case a dirty bit## !! thats why she got fired from ortho indy this year 2020 !!!

I was referred to Dr Williams in the summer of 2018, with a pain in my thumb/palm appearing to be "trigger finger". She explained clearly what was happening and the first plan of attack was to get a steroid shot; if it did not work, she thought I may need surgery. After several months, my pain returned and my thumb was now "sticking". On my next appointment she explained another shot would be a waste of time and I needed surgery. This was a Thursday and she could get me in on Friday or Monday. I was in the next day; and was in and out under 2 hours. When she got in my hand, she confirmed it was "bad" and this is what was needed. Post-procedure she gave me clear instructions and expectations. She was lovely and fun. She made something that was not pleasant a breeze, while confirming I was not being dramatic. I loved her as a doctor and will recommend her to everyone I know.

The reception office staff was very friendly and honestly so was the nursing/assisting staff in the back. I waited a very long time in the waiting room, then again in a room full of maybe 6 different beds with curtains separating the beds. The room was pretty much all younger children like ages 5-10ish if I had to guess with parents as advocates, and I'm in my mid 20's advocating for myself. I heard Dr. Heather Williams being so kind and helpful with those other children and listening to the parent's concerns. However when she came to check on me, she barely even looked at my injury on my right hand/thumb (that significantly impacts my job) - looked at 1 of 4 x-rays that were taken a week before at an OrthoIndy Urgent Care center for maybe 3-5 second tops and barely gave me any explanation as to what would occur next. I asked her several questions and she would respond as vague and shortly as possible and slip out of the covered area and come back in 10 min later and do it all over… again. I absolutely feel like she didn't take me seriously as a patient, maybe she has something against young women or something but it was the rudest encounter I've ever had with a physician - and I did gymnastics/cheerleading for about 19-20 years. I've had my fair share of orthopedic surgeries, ER visits, and broken bones - but never has a doctor looked and and spoken to me with such inconsideration and no regard to the pain and concerns I was feeling. I will never use OrthoIndy again, and I will be sure to let my friends, family, and co-workers know that if they plan to go there, they should specifically request not to have her as their physician, unless they want to be treated as an objects on a checklist not as a human being. I'm getting a second opinion elsewhere. I get it - being a doctor is hard and you have to deal with unpleasant scenarios, but you signed up for it and when you have a concerned patient who is clearly in pain and worried about their injury - try taking a deep breath and learning to speak to them like a living person with feelings that is in pain who is stressed out - not like a check off your list of sh*t to do. Thanks.

I broke both my Radius and Ulna. She was amazing!! I have full movement an have never felt pain again.. I highly recommend Dr. Williams
