Dr. Hector F Perez, MD

The Indian Dr that works with Dr. Perez is very caring and takes time to listen. Doesn't hurry you out and does testing and prescribes meds when necessary. Always does follow ups. She is like an angel and I recommend her to my friends and family. Because of the nature of the practice that office is busy with walk ins all the time but this Indian Dr never rushed you and makes sure all your questions were answered.

I'm a case manager with many youth on case load that are seen by various doctors in my area. A sibling group on my case load has dr Perez assigned to them through Medicaid. I called to schedule their physicals, made it the appointment and they refused to sign my paperwork without a second visit. They claimed that the current physical being performed was a well child physical and I would have to schedule a second appointment two days later for the actual physical, only then they would sign my form. They blamed Medicaid but other doctors that I work with don't share in this duplicate billing but different coding of Medicaid to get paid. The latest incident happened on 11/1. Another foster youth needed First Steps services the paperwork was sent to the office 3 times and they refused to fill it out without a visit even though they saw this child twice in August. I had another foster youth with me to get another physical and they refused to sign it because of a TB test. The staff and… the dr perez argued with me other this optional TB test and while engaged and arguing with me he never examined the child that needed first steps but signed the paper anyway and I'm assuming he billed Medicaid for services that were not rendered. The child needing the physical missed school in the morning for a physical that was never done. I spoke with my superiors and if we are allowed, we're finding a different dr for these youth

I have been a patient of Dr Perez for over 13 years now. He has delivered all four of my children. However, for the past few months, my family and myself have only been able to see the Indian lady dr that he has working for him now. She doesn't actually REALLY listen to us. We tell her of our issues, and instead of explaining to us what's going on, she's just very passive. I have lots of family members who also go to him. All have had the same issue. My 9 year old has had foot and back issues that cause him to walk weird for months now. She insists it's growing pains and prescribes Tylenol. I've been struggling with my weight. I told her that I wake up all hours of the night hungry. I eat and eat and can't get control. She just laughed and said to drink more water. I told her we have all been exposed to toxic black mold. I thought she would need to run some tests or something..she laughed and said,"I can't do anything about that." I went to them with strep. She didn't do a rapid… strep test. Didn't even tell me if I have it or not. Just said she'd call in some cough syrup and an antibiotic. OK...and my kids and husband....what??? When she walked out, I wasn't even sure if that was the end of my appointment or not. I still had some other issues I wanted to bring up. Guess not this visit. Ready for a new doctor now.

Very unprofessional!

It's a joke trying to make an appointment, the two front office reception lady's are nothing but joke's and hardly ever answer the phone and when they do the forward you to an answer machine. Dr. Perez was nice and helpful as well as the nurse I had but as for the rest of the place and staff was pitiful.

The wait time is not very welcoming every appointment I have is more than an hour in the lobby then another 30 mins in the room. The staff is very rude. Dr. Perez needs to fire his whole staff and start all over again. The staff he has is making him losee business.

and that nurse who calls the house will just blurt all my personal information out on the answering machine. i don't think hippa would think that is ok. one time she called the answering machine of one of my family members and blurted all kinds of info out about me. if you have a sinus infection or something simple, great place to go, but be prepared to wait a long time as the walk-ins just pour in. great doc, just getting way busy.
