Dr. Hedieh Saghari, MD

On April 25, I had my annual mammogram & ultrasound at SMIL. Dr. Hedieh Seghari said I needed a biopsy for something suspicious, blamed my hormone use, & left me shaken. On May 7, during the biopsy, I disclosed my low pain tolerance & need for extra lidocaine. Dr. Matsui under-medicated me, causing severe pain, but apologized & adjusted. After my breast cancer diagnosis, I returned for a seed placement on June 11 with Dr.Saghari. I informed the front desk, patient advocate, & the tech that I required more pain relief for the procedure ; they all told me to tell the doctor. Dr. Saghari dismissed my request & said she could only give so much. I was crying, in visible distress & she offered no alternate drug, comfort, no apology and no compassion. After I told her it was sharp did she give me more lidocaine. I felt gaslit, helpless, & deeply hurt in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. No patient should be treated this way. I left feeling completely unheard.

I went to get a radioactive tracer put in before my surgery. Had no bedside manner and found her to be rude to the nurse who was helping her. I tried asking questions about the procedure and her attitude made it clear that she didn’t want me asking questions. Was in and out and didn’t ask if I was okay.

I recently had a procedure with Dr. S which went very smoothly. She is very knowledgeable and an expert in performing biopsies. I was informed of the results in a timely manner. Very happy with the experience and highly recommended!

Dr. Saghari is the only doctor I trust with my mammogram readings. She has also done a biopsy on me which went very well. She is very caring, knowledgeable and simply the best. I highly recommend her!

I saw Dr. Saghari in 2014 to review my mammogram. She told me the lump she saw was benign and did not recommend a biopsy. A year later I discovered it was cancer. Six rounds of chemo and a double mastectomy later and this woman is still in practice. Don’t. Just don’t.

All I can say is that she found my cancer at such an early stage and biopsied it. I have implants and she did an amazing job! Thank you Dr. S!

I was very satisfied by Dr.Saghari's detailed explanation of the procedure. I was scheduled for a biopsy. I had another biopsy several years ago. She started explaining the procedure in a very simple language. During the procedure which did not take that long, she was very attentive to my concerns and made me so comfortable. Definitely this biopsy was easier and more comfortable than the one I had with another doctor. I am thankful to Dr. Saghari and the whole Honor Health Breast Health & Research Center.

I was extremely shocked by the doctors blank facial expressions. I just received a questionable report. The doctor did not tell me to worry or not to worry. There was absolutely NO bedside manner. I felt worried and uninformed about my results.

I was not impressed by Dr. Saghari. Was not informative and did not explain the procedure as it was being performed, not even just to ask how I was feeling or if I was doing ok. Seemed to be bothered when I told her I was feeling a little strange pain. She abruptly stated, "she wasn't doing anything to me." Bedside manner was completely lacking. I was so nervous and she did not attempt to make me feel at ease whatsoever. I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone in the future.
