Dr. Hei-Jung Chin Kim, MD

The worst experience ever. Waited a month for my initial appointment, just for it to get delayed by hours. So I rescheduled and the second time it got delayed by over 2 hours AGAIN. Received no apology or explanation both times, which is beyond unprofessional. Dr. Kim and her team definitely doesn't care about her patients' mental health. Bullet dodged, will be looking elsewhere.

Dr. Kim is a very knowledgeable and intuitive doctor. She knows what she’s talking about and genuinely cares about her patients health. Her office is a different story. There have been times where I had to wait TWO HOURS in her very small waiting room. Today I had an appointment, so I called an hour ahead of time and asked if she was running on time. Her assistant told me she was, so I arrived at her office at my scheduled appointment time. I waited 30 minutes until someone finally came out of her office, only to find out there was still one person ahead of me. I then had to wait another 45 minutes. This is a horrible way to treat your clients and I have brought this up MANY TIMES to both the doctor and her assistants, yet no one seems to be doing anything about it.

I went to Dr. Kim and wondered how well it would work. She and her staff spoke Korean and the people in the waiting room were speaking Korean as well. I thought "perhaps these experiences are different from mine, and this won't work." ... shallow thinking on my part. I had been previously diagnosed as bipolar, and felt that Dr. Kim could just preserve my path forward. I filled out loads and loads of questions, waited a little longer than I anticipated to see her, watch her carefully analyze and study what I had entered... asked several questions.... At the end of the visit, I realized that I was with a brilliant psychiatrist. I had been previously misdiagnosed. Dr. Kim provided me with a new vista that has me on the right path. New medication that works. She is nothing short of wonderful. I could not recommend her more strongly. Very intelligent and very caring.

Been seeing Dr Kim for several years. She is compassionate, listens well, remembers you the next visit and is very caring and clearly is there for you.

You have to wait at least 2 hours sometimes even 3 hours to get into you scheduled appointment. oh and if you show any type of frustration that the multiple mixtures of medications she continues to prescribe gives you side effects then prepare for her to call you “crazy” just because you are telling the truth. She doesn’t care about your wellbeing. Please don’t waste your time and energy going to this doctor.

Lacks manners and trustworthiness

Dr. Kim was knowledgeable and caring. She spent adequate time listening in order to diagnose my problems and her treatments were effective.
