Dr. Heide Woo, MD

Dr. Woo cared for two of my children from birth up until maybe age 5 for both. I was a young mom. Heard rave reviews about her and my friends also had positive things to say. Now looking back I feel betrayed. Not only did Dr. Woo always down to me she made me feel like a worthless unfit parent. She spoke to me in a condescending manner and rolled her eyes at me. The worse part was how brutal she was with my son during examinations. She was obsessed with cleaning his ears out and kept putting the long stick in his ears even though he would cry in pain. She was rough while examining him. She even slapped my newborn on her back over and over and when I questioned her again she became agitated as to why I was even questioning her. She made rude remarks and was not kind at all. Honestly after going to different pediatricians I realized her treatment was unprofessional and unjust.

Dr. Heide Woo has been our families pediatrician for all four of our children since birth. Dr. Woo pays has caught things other doctors have missed. She is an advocate for her patients and will follow through to the end to make sure her patients have the best care. Our son was very sick as a baby and she made sure he was well taken care of and helped bring him back to health! Our kids have had their share of getting sick through the 21 years she has been our family doctor and she has been there every time providing the best care possible. We are grateful!

Dr Woo is extremely attentive and pays attention to detail. My teens have been with her since they were babies and I trust her completely and have referred many friends.

Both my sons have seen Dr. Woo since they were babies. One is now 19 and still refuses to stop seeing here. She has always demonstrated the best and highest level of care for both patients. She is always aavailable to answer any doubts and questions. She is a Wonderful human beung and Amazing Doctor!!!

Dr. Woo helped diagnose my daughter with a rare brain malformation as early as 4 months. She worked with me to schedule earlier appointments with UCLA specialist. We may not always agree on a flu shot but it's clear she wants what's best for my daughter. I'm thankful we found her when we did.

Dr. Woo has been my Pediatrician for approximately 16 years. Yes she may be quick but she is trying to see other patients. I do not know how many times I have called and been told they have no appoinments but they could fit my child into her schedule. I also feel like she really knows my kids and takes an interest in thier overall well being. But most of all if their is something really wrong with your child she is going to know, she asks just the right questions and performs the right tests or gets you to the best referral. That is what is most important. I know she is opinionated about certain things but she is the medical professional, I would hope she feels strongly about what she believes is best for her patients.

We have been seeing Dr. Woo for over 9 years now! I have two children and one of them with special needs. She is a cut above the rest. She is thorough, efficient, and sincerely cares!

While it is true that Dr Woo has an efficient and brisk manner to her, I felt that this was in the best interests of minimizing the wait time for all patients in the office. Most importantly, Dr Woo is a highly competent pediatrician who really cares about the well being of our family. And if it is something that could really be a threat to the health of your children she will have it nailed. Full stop. If you prefer a more touchy feely pediatrician, perhaps Dr Woo is not for you. But even with her brisk and cheerful manner, all important points are covered and there is plenty of opportunity for questions and answers. Our children love her. As do their parents!! Dr Woo is really great and we feel very lucky she is our pediatrician!!!

Dr Woo was rushed and barely gave me ay information during my well visit ater I waited 40 minutes.She just said she was growing fine and tried to rush me out. I did not get height or weight perecntile and she blew off most of my questions and told me to look online at a website. When I saw her and my little girl was sick she was actually quite good but it is a mixed bag. I think you get an excellent diagnotstician with 0 bedside manner and very little patience for new mom questions. You can probably get both with another dr.
