Fantastic Doctor! Very thorough and personal!

Looking at these reviews doesn't describe Dr. Hutchinson. What wasn't mentioned is HOW these people were treating the office staff. Patient's are unaware that medical offices have caller ID and when you have a very BUSY medical practice with three physician's, it's very difficult to respond to every call. That's why voicemails are necessary to leave a message and your call is answered promptly or by the end of the day. ONLY when a patient repeatedly calls 5 to 15 times in a row (it's been counted), then hangs up and keeps calling back without leaving messages, distresses the staff since they're either on the phone or registering patients at the counter. When the call is answered, I've witnessed how the caller on the other line is treating the office staff FIRST. They've been very polite in asking the patient not to repeatedly call and hang up like that since it can delay your calls in being returned. If someone feels "chastised", it's more then likely because they're embarrassed… and not aware offices have caller ID and they can see the phone number. Plus, they felt chastised because they knew it was unacceptable behavior and you've just irritated the staff. That's why it's imperative to leave messages. If a patient feels the staff is rude, please remember not to take out your frustrations, use foul language or yell into the phone. They don't deserve to be treated so disrespectfully. Also, remember that your attitude is being reported to the physician and how you're treating the staff. If they feel you're being rude, you're running the risk of being discharged for attitude. Physician's don't appreciate a patient being disrespectful since the staff works very hard to accommodate anyone and everyone. They understand you're sick and not feeling well, but you don't need to take out your frustrations on them. It's unacceptable to keep calling and repeatedly hanging up until someone answers only to find out you wanted to confirm when your appointment is?? Unacceptable! Please be courteous to all medical staff and be understanding. Just know attitude goes a long way. When reviews are written, please keep in mind how the person writing them has treated the office staff. As a bystander and a retiree in the medical field, I've witnessed the rudeness, disrespect and have even seen Security called to the waiting room for their protection. Rudeness is NOT ok. Remember, the office staff also determines if you're going to be seen or not based on attitude alone for their protection. Nobody wants to be treated rudely on every visit, every call, every time.

Same thing happened to me. Called and called, they never answer! What a joke. Never experienced this sort of thing with any doctor. When you're sick and need care, no one wants a doctor that never answers their phone or only calls you back once and if you can't pick up they won't call back again, they seem to rely only on voicemail to communicate, on top of that, it takes 4 to 5 months to get an appointment and then to boot, most of the staff are so rude when you do finally get to talk to someone or if you just decide to walk in. I will NEVER recommend this doctor!!!!

I don't know how the Dr. is because I couldn't get past the receptionist! I tried to call for an appointment but only got voice mail so I waited a bit and tried again. No luck getting through after several tries so finally left a VM. As no one called me back I tried one more time and the woman who answered immediately proceeded to chew me out for calling several times! Then when she finally stopped she said the earliest I could see the Doc was 4 mos. from now. Not the sort of place I want to trust my care to.
