Dr. Heidi Mae Larson, MD

I have seen this doctor twice. Both times she was not interested in helping. Both times she claimed she had that condition and both times she had no advice or direction on how to help, or resolve the issue. The first visit I was in extreme pain (level 10) ... although my pain has subsided, I am still having trouble over a year later. The second visit, I was seen for 3 minutes and told that she had that condition but didn't know what it was and offered no direction on what I should do. I find it ironic that both times I have seen her, she had that same problem but couldn't offer any advice on what I should do? ... that doesn't make sense to me for a Dr. to have an issue but can't direct you on what you should do ... what did she do for that condition?

just found out she is no longer in Portland.. she has moved out of state. problem I have with this is I found this out at another doctors office when they asked me who my pcp was. they told me she has retired go figure.... never did care for her much as a dr. but she was a very nice person.

Dr. Larson has been the primary care physician for myself and my family for the past 10 years or so. Myself and my wife have come to rely on her availability and genuine concern for even the smallest of ailments. As the parents of two young boys ages 4 and 6 Dr. Larson has been on the receiving end of numerous nervous parent inquiries and continues to do so with understanding and good humor. I find her small practice welcoming, clean, and efficiently managed. Dr. Larson has been an instrumental figure in the development of my children and has even managed to somehow assuage their fears of â?? going to the doctor â??. Thanks Doc!

I have been a patient of Dr Larson for over 13 years. To say I've been a handful would be an understatement. I've had streptococcus cellulitis not once but twice, diphtheria, a blown disc in my back and a myriad all the other assorted minor ailments. Heidi and her staff which has admittedly changed over the years have always treated me with the level of professionalism and courtesy I would expect from an individual and her position. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg. Dr. Larson will make a point to send handwritten thank you cards and follow up calls to make sure health issues are progressing as they should. When you coming in for an office visit, she doesn't just ask about me, she asked about my wife and my step children. She adds a truly personal touch to what would otherwise be a routine office visit. Dr Larson makes me uncomfortable feeling I'm going to the doctor something to look forward to. You don't have to be a woman to appreciate Dr Larsons personal touch!

Dr. Larson has been our family doctor for nearly 7 years now. She and her staff have always been very responsive whenever I call for myself or one of my family members. I have complicated diabetes that requires a lot of coordination with other specialists and visits to Heidi every 3-4 months. She always listens to me and asks about my family, my work, as well as how I am feeling in general. She makes sure all my questions are answered before I leave, and I get a print-out of my results over the past few years so I can see my progress. Dr. Larson is warm and kind and has always been there for me an my family when we have needed her. We feel fortunate to have her as our doctor.

Dr. Larson should have been a cashier. She has no business diagnosing people. She doesn't listen good. My family will not be going back to her. I have never been so disgusted with a doctor before. I saw her for many many years and when I needed her to listen most, it was as if she was only hearing what she wanted, even made stuff up. I pity those who do not know better. Yes this review is harsh but honest.

She is snobby, her office is dirty, especially the procedure room. Dusty dirty floors. She may like you, she may not. If you do see this doctor do your research on your condition before going! Make sure the tests she does is appropriate and backed by medical research. There are so many great doctors in Portland, don't waste your time going to this lady!

I have come to respect Dr. Larson over the years. She stays on top of each and every problem that I have presented to her and her advice is sound. I recommend her highly.

I just moved to Portland and found a great doctor in Heidi Larson. She's personable, caring and spends more time with me in her office than any doctor I've seen. Heidi or her staff always follow-up with me and promptly call prescriptions to the pharmacy. Sometimes, she even answers the office phone. It's great. In addition to caring about my health, she always asks how other things are going in my life. My job, career, happiness, friends, family. She offers the kind of personal doctor-patient relationship that's not found much these days.

I have been going to Heidi for over three years now and can't say enough good things about her and her staff. She has always been very professional and courteous, allowing me to have an open line of communication and lead to proper diagnosis. I am glad to be able to call any time and know that I will get the best treatment available.
