Dr. Heidi Rayala, MD

Both times I visited with this Doctor, she behaved unusually made pretty thoughtless side comments that when pressed to explain had little to do with the condition at hand. Perhaps she has specialties that she excels at, people don't seem to be one of them.

Supremely knowledgeable and skilled. Warm and comforting. Seeks to use medical therapy when possible, resorting to surgery only when there's no alternative. Trained in the best medical centers in the world. I would travel across the country to continue to see her -- there is no better urologist anywhere.

The doctor didn't listen to me while I was speaking, instead choosing to look at her phone and her computer. She ignored my concerns outright and talked down to me. Would not recommend

I was referred to Dr. Rayala, by my primary care doctor when my PSA numbers went up. No one likes to find that they have a condition that will require biopsies, and perhaps even surgery. Anxiety and fear of the unknown accompanied me to our first meeting. Dr Rayala explained how things work down there (what psa #'s mean, how procedures go etc), so I left in better spirits than when I went in. Now after 4 years I can say that she is a kind, compassionate physician as well as a highly skilled one.

Dr Rayala was a fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering under Dr. Bertram Guillinau ( the inventor for the procedure of laproscopic surgery on the prostrate).Dr Rayala was very informative and helpful while I was at sloan--She is a professional in the true sense and I would say to be in her care is to be with one of the best in her specialty.
