Dr. Heidi Van Bellingham, MD

In my 20 years sufferinhg from anxiety, depression and then the development of bipolar disorder, I have literally seen 10 psychiatrists, and she is far and away the best.I will not leave Schenectady Co. while she is in practice.

This doc. is incompetent, very judgemental, has poor memory and disrespectful. She does not accurately diagnosis illnesses. Does not properly inform ppl about meds or monitor meds. Do not see her l believe she is incapable of providing accurate diadiagnosis and good care.

I Cant say enough good things about Dr. Van Bellingham. She is the most dedicated medical professional I have ever encountered. Her level of care and concern for her patients is matched by her medical expertise. She is a true asset to the community.

Horrible service from the Doctor!!She has become very jaded and seems to fit all her patients into one category. By this, I mean she thinks everyone comes from the same background. She did not take the time to try to understand me as an individual. She is very critical and negative. I was very surprise to find that type of attitude especially when I was looking for help and some guidance. She spent enough time with me to get to know me as a person. The worse thing she did was to suggest that I have an abortion. And no, I was not seeking her service regarding marital or pregnancy problems. If I was not going through a diffcult time as it was, I would have reported her to the State. Now my husband and I have been blessed with an adorable child who we cannot imagine life without and had I listen to that Wacko...I would have regretted it for the rest of my life. Seems as though she needs more help that I did.

Dr. Vanbellingham is the most caring person I have ever met. I have been seeing her for depression, about 15 yrs. now. She has helped make my life worth living. A one in a million Doctor.
