Dr. Heidi Wehlus, MD

I have been going to Dr Wehlus almost since she began practicing. I can not believe that anyone could ever leave a bad comment about her, or her stellar care. She is compassionate, caring, runs on time and always takes time to listen. Her follow through and coordination of care has always been amazing. I love Dr. Wehlus and wouldn’t want to ever have to change doctors!!

Dr wehlus was rude, uncaring, and a horrible representation to NCH in my time of need.

Dr. Wehlus is not only patient, but she is very attentive and a good listener. She always answers my questions with patience and kindness. I have full confidence in her abilities as a doctor and would definitely recommend her. She never makes me feel rushed and spends as much time with me as needed.

Dr. Wehlus and her staff are the best doctors I have been to. I have been to allot these past 4 years. She is always fully informed about you health issues and suggests what the next step should be. She is so well organized that I don't even need to put reminders in my calendar because her staff is always calling you reminding you about tests, lab work and appointments. Could not ask for a better doctor or office. They are also very nice when you walk in.

Dr. Wehlus is a great doctor but ever since she moved to the Lake Zurich office I hate my visits. The staff is unapproachable and extremely rude. I have to travel a little bit to get to the office and one time was running a little behind so I called the office saying I wouldn't make it in 15 minutes prior to but was about 10 min away making it on time for my appointment and the lady told me she simply just canceled my appointment because I need to show up 15 minutes prior. They now tell me to show up a quarter till my appointment time even if I have been In the office and there is no updates. The whole thing just turns me off. But Dr. Wehlus is a wonderful doctor the front desk staff just needs to be replaced. They seem to not want to be there as well, so maybe It would be best for both if they just left.

For years I had suffered from bronchitis and walking pneumonia. Most doctors did "business as usual" and gave me antibiotics, nebulizers, steroids....When I went to Dr. Wehlus, after coughing for many months, she was very concerned and went into action. Aside from regular testing, she ordered a cat scan. Upon reading the cat scan, she referred me to a pulmonologist, and from there a whole new journey has begun with Pulmonary Fibrosis. I thank God every day that Dr. Wehlus showed concern the way she did, and explored my situation. Her office is always prompt, and we rarely wait 5 minutes to see her. Thorough.....Dr. Wehlus makes sure she asks lots of questions and explores your answers. Her manner of treating paitents is refreshing....

Simply one of the most caring, communicative doctors I have ever met....a true professional in all ways. Blessed to have her as our daughter's doctor! I would add a 5th star if there was one.

This was the second time I had to visit her and I will NEVER go back again!!! Not only is the WHOLE ENTIRE staff rude but so is Dr. Wehlus. Never in my life have I experienced someone with such an attitude and that didn't seem to care about my issues. I left that office in tears!!

I am so happy that I have Dr. Wehlus as my primary Doc! She has a fabulous bedside manner, is very compassionate and thorough, explains everything in a way that you will understand and answers all questions in depth. You will never feel rushed during your visit with Dr. Wehlus. She goes the extra mile to call you personally to discuss test results with you and works with you "like a partner" in your health care decisions. Dr. Wehlus, thank you for being the way that you are...more Docs should follow in your footsteps!!!
